24:45 النُّوْرِ An-Noor
وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَ كُلَّ دَآبَّةࣲ مِّن مَّآءࣲۖ فَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَمۡشِي عَلَىٰ بَطۡنِهِۦ وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَمۡشِي عَلَىٰ رِجۡلَيۡنِ وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَمۡشِي عَلَىٰٓ أَرۡبَعࣲۚ يَخۡلُقُ ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَآءُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءࣲ قَدِيرࣱ‏

And Allah has created every animal from water: of them there are some that creep on their bellies; some that walk on two legs; and some that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills for verily Allah has power over all things

36:4 يٰسٓ Yaseen
عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطࣲ مُّسۡتَقِيمࣲ‏

On a Straight Way

43:22 الزُّخْرُفِ Az-Zukhruf
بَلۡ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا وَجَدۡنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا عَلَىٰٓ أُمَّةࣲ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِم مُّهۡتَدُونَ

Nay! they say: "We found our fathers following a certain religion, and we do guide ourselves by their footsteps

67:22 الْمُلْكِ Al-Mulk
أَفَمَن يَمۡشِي مُكِبًّا عَلَىٰ وَجۡهِهِۦٓ أَهۡدَىٰٓ أَمَّن يَمۡشِي سَوِيًّا عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطࣲ مُّسۡتَقِيمࣲ‏

Is then one who walks headlong, with his face grovelling, better guided,- or one who walks evenly on a Straight Way

وَرَفَعۡنَٰهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا

And We raised him to a lofty station

وَمَآ أَفَآءَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ مِنۡهُمۡ فَمَآ أَوۡجَفۡتُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ خَيۡلࣲ وَلَا رِكَابࣲ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُسَلِّطُ رُسُلَهُۥ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءࣲ قَدِيرࣱ‏

What Allah has bestowed on His Messenger (and taken away) from them - for this ye made no expedition with either cavalry or camelry: but Allah gives power to His messengers over any He pleases: and Allah has power over all things

23:9 الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ Al-Muminoon
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَلَىٰ صَلَوَٰتِهِمۡ يُحَافِظُونَ

And who (strictly) guard their prayers

أَفَرَءَيۡتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ وَأَضَلَّهُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمࣲ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ سَمۡعِهِۦ وَقَلۡبِهِۦ وَجَعَلَ عَلَىٰ بَصَرِهِۦ غِشَٰوَةࣰ فَمَن يَهۡدِيهِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ٱللَّهِۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

Then seest thou such a one as takes as his god his own vain desire? Allah has, knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart (and understanding), and put a cover on his sight. Who, then, will guide him after Allah (has withdrawn Guidance)? Will ye not then receive admonition

37:120 الصَّافَّاتِ As-Saaffaat
سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ

Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron

سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِلۡ يَاسِينَ

16:76 النَّحْلِ An-Nahl
وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلࣰ ا رَّجُلَيۡنِ أَحَدُهُمَآ أَبۡكَمُ لَا يَقۡدِرُ عَلَىٰ شَيۡءࣲ وَهُوَ كَلٌّ عَلَىٰ مَوۡلَىٰهُ أَيۡنَمَا يُوَجِّههُّ لَا يَأۡتِ بِخَيۡرٍ هَلۡ يَسۡتَوِي هُوَ وَمَن يَأۡمُرُ بِٱلۡعَدۡلِ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطࣲ مُّسۡتَقِيمࣲ‏

Allah sets forth (another) Parable of two men: one of them dumb, with no power of any sort; a wearisome burden is he to his master; whichever way be directs him, he brings no good: is such a man equal with one who commands Justice, and is on a Straight Way

26:194 الشُّعَرَآءِ Ash-Shu'araa
عَلَىٰ قَلۡبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنذِرِينَ

To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish

44:32 الدُّخَانِ Ad-Dukhaan
وَلَقَدِ ٱخۡتَرۡنَٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمٍ عَلَى ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

And We chose them aforetime above the nations, knowingly

They will advance to each other, engaging in mutual enquiry

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفۡرَفٍ خُضۡرࣲ وَعَبۡقَرِيٍّ حِسَانࣲ‏

Reclining on green Cushions and rich Carpets of beauty

86:8 الطَّارِقِ At-Taariq
إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجۡعِهِۦ لَقَادِرࣱ‏

Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)

89:18 الْفَجْرِ Al-Fajr
وَلَا تَحَٰٓضُّونَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِينِ

Nor do ye encourage one another to feed the poor

9:84 التَّوْبَةِ At-Tawba
وَلَا تُصَلِّ عَلَىٰٓ أَحَدࣲ مِّنۡهُم مَّاتَ أَبَدࣰ ا وَلَا تَقُمۡ عَلَىٰ قَبۡرِهِۦٓۖ إِنَّهُمۡ كَفَرُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَمَاتُواْ وَهُمۡ فَٰسِقُونَ

Nor do thou ever pray for any of them that dies, nor stand at his grave; for they rejected Allah and His Messenger, and died in a state of perverse rebellion

26:198 الشُّعَرَآءِ Ash-Shu'araa
وَلَوۡ نَزَّلۡنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضِ ٱلۡأَعۡجَمِينَ

Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs

37:70 الصَّافَّاتِ As-Saaffaat
فَهُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِمۡ يُهۡرَعُونَ

So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps

And those who guard (the sacredness) of their worship

85:7 الْبُرُوْجِ Al-Burooj
وَهُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفۡعَلُونَ بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ شُهُودࣱ‏

And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers

11:4 هُوْدٍ Hud
إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءࣲ قَدِيرٌ

To Allah is your return, and He hath power over all things

46:33 الْاَحْقَافِ Al-Ahqaf
أَوَلَمۡ يَرَوۡاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَلَمۡ يَعۡيَ بِخَلۡقِهِنَّ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحۡـِۧيَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰۚ بَلَىٰٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءࣲ قَدِيرࣱ‏

See they not that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and never wearied with their creation, is able to give life to the dead? Yea, verily He has power over all things

37:27 الصَّافَّاتِ As-Saaffaat
وَأَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضࣲ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

And they will turn to one another, and question one another

37:50 الصَّافَّاتِ As-Saaffaat
فَأَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضࣲ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

Then they will turn to one another and question one another

وَلَقَدۡ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ

Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron

4:156 النِّسَآءِ An-Nisaa
وَبِكُفۡرِهِمۡ وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ عَلَىٰ مَرۡيَمَ بُهۡتَٰنًا عَظِيمࣰ ا

That they rejected Faith; that they uttered against Mary a grave false charge

26:113 الشُّعَرَآءِ Ash-Shu'araa
إِنۡ حِسَابُهُمۡ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّيۖ لَوۡ تَشۡعُرُونَ

Their account is only with my Lord, if ye could (but) understand

30:59 الرُّوْمِ Ar-Room
كَذَٰلِكَ يَطۡبَعُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ

Thus does Allah seal up the hearts of those who understand not

75:40 الْقِيَامَةِ Al-Qiyaama
أَلَيۡسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحۡـِۧيَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ

Has not He, (the same), the power to give life to the dead

43:23 الزُّخْرُفِ Az-Zukhruf
وَكَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ فِي قَرۡيَةࣲ مِّن نَّذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتۡرَفُوهَآ إِنَّا وَجَدۡنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا عَلَىٰٓ أُمَّةࣲ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِم مُّقۡتَدُونَ

Just in the same way, whenever We sent a Warner before thee to any people, the wealthy ones among them said: "We found our fathers following a certain religion, and we will certainly follow in their footsteps

12:18 يُوسُفَ Yusuf
وَجَآءُو عَلَىٰ قَمِيصِهِۦ بِدَمࣲ كَذِبࣲۚ قَالَ بَلۡ سَوَّلَتۡ لَكُمۡ أَنفُسُكُمۡ أَمۡرࣰ اۖ فَصَبۡرࣱ جَمِيلࣱۖ وَٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمُسۡتَعَانُ عَلَىٰ مَا تَصِفُونَ

They stained his shirt with false blood. He said: "Nay, but your minds have made up a tale (that may pass) with you, (for me) patience is most fitting: Against that which ye assert, it is Allah (alone) Whose help can be sought

54:13 الْقَمَرِ Al-Qamar
وَحَمَلۡنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلۡوَٰحࣲ وَدُسُرࣲ‏

But We bore him on an (Ark) made of broad planks and caulked with palm-fibre

21:69 الْاَنْۣبِيَآءِ Al-Anbiyaa
قُلۡنَا يَٰنَارُ كُونِي بَرۡدࣰ ا وَسَلَٰمًا عَلَىٰٓ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ

We said, "O Fire! be thou cool, and (a means of) safety for Abraham

26:221 الشُّعَرَآءِ Ash-Shu'araa
هَلۡ أُنَبِّئُكُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ

Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend

36:7 يٰسٓ Yaseen
لَقَدۡ حَقَّ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَىٰٓ أَكۡثَرِهِمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ

The Word is proved true against the greater part of them: for they do not believe
