46:21 الْاَحْقَافِ Al-Ahqaf
۞وَٱذۡكُرۡ أَخَا عَادٍ إِذۡ أَنذَرَ قَوۡمَهُۥ بِٱلۡأَحۡقَافِ وَقَدۡ خَلَتِ ٱلنُّذُرُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِ يَدَيۡهِ وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِۦٓ أَلَّا تَعۡبُدُوٓاْ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيمࣲ‏

Mention (Hud) one of 'Ad's (own) brethren: Behold, he warned his people about the winding Sand-tracts: but there have been warners before him and after him: "Worship ye none other than Allah: Truly I fear for you the Penalty of a Mighty Day

47:18 مُحَمَّدٍ Muhammad
فَهَلۡ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ أَن تَأۡتِيَهُم بَغۡتَةࣰۖ فَقَدۡ جَآءَ أَشۡرَاطُهَاۚ فَأَنَّىٰ لَهُمۡ إِذَا جَآءَتۡهُمۡ ذِكۡرَىٰهُمۡ

Do they then only wait for the Hour,- that it should come on them of a sudden? But already have come some tokens thereof, and when it (actually) is on them, how can they benefit then by their admonition

47:20 مُحَمَّدٍ Muhammad
وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَوۡلَا نُزِّلَتۡ سُورَةࣱۖ فَإِذَآ أُنزِلَتۡ سُورَةࣱ مُّحۡكَمَةࣱ وَذُكِرَ فِيهَا ٱلۡقِتَالُ رَأَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضࣱ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيۡكَ نَظَرَ ٱلۡمَغۡشِيِّ عَلَيۡهِ مِنَ ٱلۡمَوۡتِۖ فَأَوۡلَىٰ لَهُمۡ

Those who believe say, "Why is not a sura sent down (for us)?" But when a sura of basic or categorical meaning is revealed, and fighting is mentioned therein, thou wilt see those in whose hearts is a disease looking at thee with a look of one in swoon at the approach of death. But more fitting for them

49:13 الْحُجُراتِ Al-Hujuraat
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰكُم مِّن ذَكَرࣲ وَأُنثَىٰ وَجَعَلۡنَٰكُمۡ شُعُوبࣰ ا وَقَبَآئِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوٓاْۚ إِنَّ أَكۡرَمَكُمۡ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ أَتۡقَىٰكُمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرࣱ‏

O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things)

تَبۡصِرَةࣰ وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبۡدࣲ مُّنِيبࣲ‏

To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah)

50:37 قٓ Qaaf
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكۡرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُۥ قَلۡبٌ أَوۡ أَلۡقَى ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدࣱ‏

Verily in this is a Message for any that has a heart and understanding or who gives ear and earnestly witnesses (the truth)

50:45 قٓ Qaaf
نَّحۡنُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيۡهِم بِجَبَّارࣲۖ فَذَكِّرۡ بِٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ

We know best what they say; and thou art not one to overawe them by force. So admonish with the Qur'an such as fear My Warning

And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction

But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers

52:29 الطُّوْرِ At-Tur
فَذَكِّرۡ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِنِعۡمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنࣲ وَلَا مَجۡنُونٍ

Therefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed

53:21 النَّجْمِ An-Najm
أَلَكُمُ ٱلذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ ٱلۡأُنثَىٰ

What! for you the male sex, and for Him, the female

53:29 النَّجْمِ An-Najm
فَأَعۡرِضۡ عَن مَّن تَوَلَّىٰ عَن ذِكۡرِنَا وَلَمۡ يُرِدۡ إِلَّا ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا

Therefore shun those who turn away from Our Message and desire nothing but the life of this world

أَءُلۡقِيَ ٱلذِّكۡرُ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۢ بَيۡنِنَا بَلۡ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرࣱ‏

Is it that the Message is sent to him, of all people amongst us? Nay, he is a liar, an insolent one

56:62 الْوَاقِعَةِ Al-Waaqia
وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتُمُ ٱلنَّشۡأَةَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ فَلَوۡلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises

56:73 الْوَاقِعَةِ Al-Waaqia
نَحۡنُ جَعَلۡنَٰهَا تَذۡكِرَةࣰ وَمَتَٰعࣰ ا لِّلۡمُقۡوِينَ

We have made it a memorial (of Our handiwork), and an article of comfort and convenience for the denizens of deserts

57:16 الْحَدِيْدِ Al-Hadid
۞أَلَمۡ يَأۡنِ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَن تَخۡشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمۡ لِذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا يَكُونُواْ كَٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبۡلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡأَمَدُ فَقَسَتۡ قُلُوبُهُمۡۖ وَكَثِيرࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَٰسِقُونَ

Has not the Time arrived for the Believers that their hearts in all humility should engage in the remembrance of Allah and of the Truth which has been revealed (to them), and that they should not become like those to whom was given Revelation aforetime, but long ages passed over them and their hearts grew hard? For many among them are rebellious transgressors

58:19 الْمُجَادَلَةِ Al-Mujaadila
ٱسۡتَحۡوَذَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ فَأَنسَىٰهُمۡ ذِكۡرَ ٱللَّهِۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ حِزۡبُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِۚ أَلَآ إِنَّ حِزۡبَ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ هُمُ ٱلۡخَٰسِرُونَ

The Evil One has got the better of them: so he has made them lose the remembrance of Allah. They are the Party of the Evil One. Truly, it is the Party of the Evil One that will perish

Open ayah In surah context Juz 28
62:9 الْجُمُعَةِ Al-Jumu'a
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلَوٰةِ مِن يَوۡمِ ٱلۡجُمُعَةِ فَٱسۡعَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَذَرُواْ ٱلۡبَيۡعَۚ ذَٰلِكُمۡ خَيۡرࣱ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ

O ye who believe! When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday (the Day of Assembly), hasten earnestly to the Remembrance of Allah, and leave off business (and traffic): That is best for you if ye but knew

62:10 الْجُمُعَةِ Al-Jumu'a
فَإِذَا قُضِيَتِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةُ فَٱنتَشِرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱبۡتَغُواْ مِن فَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱذۡكُرُواْ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرࣰ ا لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ

And when the Prayer is finished, then may ye disperse through the land, and seek of the Bounty of Allah: and celebrate the Praises of Allah often (and without stint): that ye may prosper

63:9 الْمُنَافِقُوْنَ Al-Munaafiqoon
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تُلۡهِكُمۡ أَمۡوَٰلُكُمۡ وَلَآ أَوۡلَٰدُكُمۡ عَن ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِۚ وَمَن يَفۡعَلۡ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡخَٰسِرُونَ

O ye who believe! Let not your riches or your children divert you from the remembrance of Allah. If any act thus, the loss is their own

Open ayah In surah context Juz 28
65:10 الطَّلَاقِ At-Talaaq
أَعَدَّ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمۡ عَذَابࣰ ا شَدِيدࣰ اۖ فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ يَٰٓأُوْلِي ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْۚ قَدۡ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيۡكُمۡ ذِكۡرࣰ ا

Allah has prepared for them a severe Punishment (in the Hereafter). Therefore fear Allah, O ye men of understanding - who have believed!- for Allah hath indeed sent down to you a Message

68:51 الْقَلَمِ Al-Qalam
وَإِن يَكَادُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَيُزۡلِقُونَكَ بِأَبۡصَٰرِهِمۡ لَمَّا سَمِعُواْ ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُۥ لَمَجۡنُونࣱ‏

And the Unbelievers would almost trip thee up with their eyes when they hear the Message; and they say: "Surely he is possessed

68:52 الْقَلَمِ Al-Qalam
وَمَا هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرࣱ لِّلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

But it is nothing less than a Message to all the worlds

69:12 الْحَآقَّةِ Al-Haaqqa
لِنَجۡعَلَهَا لَكُمۡ تَذۡكِرَةࣰ وَتَعِيَهَآ أُذُنࣱ وَٰعِيَةࣱ‏

That We might make it a Message unto you, and that ears (that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance

69:42 الْحَآقَّةِ Al-Haaqqa
وَلَا بِقَوۡلِ كَاهِنࣲۚ قَلِيلࣰ ا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ

Nor is it the word of a soothsayer: little admonition it is ye receive

69:48 الْحَآقَّةِ Al-Haaqqa
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَذۡكِرَةࣱ لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ

But verily this is a Message for the Allah-fearing

72:17 الْجِنِّ Al-Jinn
لِّنَفۡتِنَهُمۡ فِيهِۚ وَمَن يُعۡرِضۡ عَن ذِكۡرِ رَبِّهِۦ يَسۡلُكۡهُ عَذَابࣰ ا صَعَدࣰ ا

That We might try them by that (means). But if any turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to undergo a severe Penalty

73:8 الْمُزَّمِّلِ Al-Muzzammil
وَٱذۡكُرِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ وَتَبَتَّلۡ إِلَيۡهِ تَبۡتِيلࣰ ا

But keep in remembrance the name of thy Lord and devote thyself to Him whole-heartedly

73:19 الْمُزَّمِّلِ Al-Muzzammil
إِنَّ هَٰذِهِۦ تَذۡكِرَةࣱۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلًا

Verily this is an Admonition: therefore, whoso will, let him take a (straight) path to his Lord

74:31 الْمُدَّثِّرِ Al-Muddaththir
وَمَا جَعَلۡنَآ أَصۡحَٰبَ ٱلنَّارِ إِلَّا مَلَٰٓئِكَةࣰۖ وَمَا جَعَلۡنَا عِدَّتَهُمۡ إِلَّا فِتۡنَةࣰ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِيَسۡتَيۡقِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَيَزۡدَادَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِيمَٰنࣰ ا وَلَا يَرۡتَابَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ وَلِيَقُولَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضࣱ وَٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ مَاذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَٰذَا مَثَلࣰ اۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهۡدِي مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَمَا يَعۡلَمُ جُنُودَ رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَۚ وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرَىٰ لِلۡبَشَرِ

And We have set none but angels as Guardians of the Fire; and We have fixed their number only as a trial for Unbelievers,- in order that the People of the Book may arrive at certainty, and the Believers may increase in Faith,- and that no doubts may be left for the People of the Book and the Believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the Unbelievers may say, "What symbol doth Allah intend by this?" Thus doth Allah leave to stray whom He pleaseth, and guide whom He pleaseth: and none can know the forces of thy Lord, except He and this is no other than a warning to mankind

74:49 الْمُدَّثِّرِ Al-Muddaththir
فَمَا لَهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلتَّذۡكِرَةِ مُعۡرِضِينَ

Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition

74:54 الْمُدَّثِّرِ Al-Muddaththir
كَلَّآ إِنَّهُۥ تَذۡكِرَةࣱ‏

Nay, this surely is an admonition

74:55 الْمُدَّثِّرِ Al-Muddaththir
فَمَن شَآءَ ذَكَرَهُۥ

Let any who will, keep it in remembrance

74:56 الْمُدَّثِّرِ Al-Muddaththir
وَمَا يَذۡكُرُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ هُوَ أَهۡلُ ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰ وَأَهۡلُ ٱلۡمَغۡفِرَةِ

But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness

75:39 الْقِيَامَةِ Al-Qiyaama
فَجَعَلَ مِنۡهُ ٱلزَّوۡجَيۡنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلۡأُنثَىٰٓ

And of him He made two sexes, male and female

76:25 الدَّهْرِ Al-Insaan
وَٱذۡكُرِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ بُكۡرَةࣰ وَأَصِيلࣰ ا

And celebrate the name of thy Lord morning and evening

76:29 الدَّهْرِ Al-Insaan
إِنَّ هَٰذِهِۦ تَذۡكِرَةࣱۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلࣰ ا

This is an admonition: Whosoever will, let him take a (straight) Path to his Lord

77:5 الْمُرْسَلَاتِ Al-Mursalaat
فَٱلۡمُلۡقِيَٰتِ ذِكۡرًا

Then spread abroad a Message

79:35 النَّازِعَاتِ An-Naazi'aat
يَوۡمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ

The Day when man shall remember (all) that he strove for

79:43 النَّازِعَاتِ An-Naazi'aat
فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكۡرَىٰهَآ

Wherein art thou (concerned) with the declaration thereof

80:4 عَبَسَ Abasa
أَوۡ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنفَعَهُ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰٓ

Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him

80:11 عَبَسَ Abasa
كَلَّآ إِنَّهَا تَذۡكِرَةࣱ‏

By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction

Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance

إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرࣱ لِّلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds

فَذَكِّرۡ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ

Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer)
