18:9 الْكَهْفِ Al-Kahf
أَمۡ حَسِبۡتَ أَنَّ أَصۡحَٰبَ ٱلۡكَهۡفِ وَٱلرَّقِيمِ كَانُواْ مِنۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا عَجَبًا

Or dost thou reflect that the Companions of the Cave and of the Inscription were wonders among Our Sign

24:24 النُّوْرِ An-Noor
يَوۡمَ تَشۡهَدُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ أَلۡسِنَتُهُمۡ وَأَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَأَرۡجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

On the Day when their tongues, their hands, and their feet will bear witness against them as to their actions

أَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَلَهُمۡ جَنَّٰتُ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ نُزُلَۢا بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

For those who believe and do righteous deeds are Gardens as hospitable homes, for their (good) deeds

39:50 الزُّمَرِ Az-Zumar
قَدۡ قَالَهَا ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ فَمَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ

Thus did the (generations) before them say! But all that they did was of no profit to them

43:54 الزُّخْرُفِ Az-Zukhruf
فَٱسۡتَخَفَّ قَوۡمَهُۥ فَأَطَاعُوهُۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَوۡمࣰ ا فَٰسِقِينَ

Thus did he make fools of his people, and they obeyed him: truly were they a people rebellious (against Allah)

46:6 الْاَحْقَافِ Al-Ahqaf
وَإِذَا حُشِرَ ٱلنَّاسُ كَانُواْ لَهُمۡ أَعۡدَآءࣰ وَكَانُواْ بِعِبَادَتِهِمۡ كَٰفِرِينَ

And when mankind are gathered together (at the Resurrection), they will be hostile to them and reject their worship (altogether)

6:120 الْاَنْعَامِ Al-An'aam
وَذَرُواْ ظَٰهِرَ ٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَبَاطِنَهُۥٓۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَكۡسِبُونَ ٱلۡإِثۡمَ سَيُجۡزَوۡنَ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَقۡتَرِفُونَ

Eschew all sin, open or secret: those who earn sin will get due recompense for their "earnings

10:43 يُوْنُسَ Yunus
وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَنظُرُ إِلَيۡكَۚ أَفَأَنتَ تَهۡدِي ٱلۡعُمۡيَ وَلَوۡ كَانُواْ لَا يُبۡصِرُونَ

And among them are some who look at thee: but canst thou guide the blind,- even though they will not see

16:87 النَّحْلِ An-Nahl
وَأَلۡقَوۡاْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ يَوۡمَئِذٍ ٱلسَّلَمَۖ وَضَلَّ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَفۡتَرُونَ

That Day shall they (openly) show (their) submission to Allah; and all their inventions shall leave them in the lurch

70:44 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
خَٰشِعَةً أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ تَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةࣱۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمُ ٱلَّذِي كَانُواْ يُوعَدُونَ

Their eyes lowered in dejection,- ignominy covering them (all over)! such is the Day the which they are promised

2:16 البَقَرَةِ Al-Baqara
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱشۡتَرَوُاْ ٱلضَّلَٰلَةَ بِٱلۡهُدَىٰ فَمَا رَبِحَت تِّجَٰرَتُهُمۡ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُهۡتَدِينَ

These are they who have bartered Guidance for error: But their traffic is profitless, and they have lost true direction

6:4 الْاَنْعَامِ Al-An'aam
وَمَا تَأۡتِيهِم مِّنۡ ءَايَةࣲ مِّنۡ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ إِلَّا كَانُواْ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِينَ

But never did a single one of the signs of their Lord reach them, but they turned away therefrom

6:24 الْاَنْعَامِ Al-An'aam
ٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَذَبُواْ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمۡۚ وَضَلَّ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَفۡتَرُونَ

Behold! how they lie against their own souls! But the (lie) which they invented will leave them in the lurch

7:9 الْاَعْرَافِ Al-A'raaf
وَمَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَظۡلِمُونَ

Those whose scale will be light, will be their souls in perdition, for that they wrongfully treated Our signs

16:34 النَّحْلِ An-Nahl
فَأَصَابَهُمۡ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا عَمِلُواْ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ

But the evil results of their deeds overtook them, and that very (Wrath) at which they had scoffed hemmed them in

21:41 الْاَنْۣبِيَآءِ Al-Anbiyaa
وَلَقَدِ ٱسۡتُهۡزِئَ بِرُسُلࣲ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِٱلَّذِينَ سَخِرُواْ مِنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ

Mocked were (many) messenger before thee; But their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked

26:5 الشُّعَرَآءِ Ash-Shu'araa
وَمَا يَأۡتِيهِم مِّن ذِكۡرࣲ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ مُحۡدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُواْ عَنۡهُ مُعۡرِضِينَ

But there comes not to them a newly-revealed Message from (Allah) Most Gracious, but they turn away therefrom

32:25 السَّجْدَةِ As-Sajda
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَفۡصِلُ بَيۡنَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَخۡتَلِفُونَ

Verily thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgment, in the matters wherein they differ (among themselves)

34:40 سَبَاٍ Saba
وَيَوۡمَ يَحۡشُرُهُمۡ جَمِيعࣰ ا ثُمَّ يَقُولُ لِلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ إِيَّاكُمۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡبُدُونَ

One Day He will gather them all together, and say to the angels, "Was it you that these men used to worship

6:10 الْاَنْعَامِ Al-An'aam
وَلَقَدِ ٱسۡتُهۡزِئَ بِرُسُلࣲ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِٱلَّذِينَ سَخِرُواْ مِنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ

Mocked were (many) messengers before thee; but their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked

15:8 الْحِجْرِ Al-Hijr
مَا نُنَزِّلُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُوٓاْ إِذࣰ ا مُّنظَرِينَ

We send not the angels down except for just cause: if they came (to the ungodly), behold! no respite would they have

30:35 الرُّوْمِ Ar-Room
أَمۡ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ سُلۡطَٰنࣰ ا فَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِمَا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يُشۡرِكُونَ

Or have We sent down authority to them, which points out to them the things to which they pay part-worship

37:35 الصَّافَّاتِ As-Saaffaat
إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوٓاْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمۡ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ

For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride

40:21 الْمُؤْمِنِ Ghafir
۞أَوَلَمۡ يَسِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُواْ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ كَانُواْ هُمۡ أَشَدَّ مِنۡهُمۡ قُوَّةࣰ وَءَاثَارࣰ ا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمۡ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَاقࣲ‏

Do they not travel through the earth and see what was the End of those before them? They were even superior to them in strength, and in the traces (they have left) in the land: but Allah did call them to account for their sins, and none had they to defend them against Allah

10:42 يُوْنُسَ Yunus
وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَسۡتَمِعُونَ إِلَيۡكَۚ أَفَأَنتَ تُسۡمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ وَلَوۡ كَانُواْ لَا يَعۡقِلُونَ

Among them are some who (pretend to) listen to thee: But canst thou make the deaf to hear,- even though they are without understanding

Open ayah In surah context Juz 11
6:127 الْاَنْعَامِ Al-An'aam
۞لَهُمۡ دَارُ ٱلسَّلَٰمِ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡۖ وَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

For them will be a home of peace in the presence of their Lord: He will be their friend, because they practised (righteousness)

Open ayah In surah context Juz 8
39:48 الزُّمَرِ Az-Zumar
وَبَدَا لَهُمۡ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا كَسَبُواْ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ

For the evils of their Deeds will confront them, and they will be (completely) encircled by that which they used to mock at

7:139 الْاَعْرَافِ Al-A'raaf
إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مُتَبَّرࣱ مَّا هُمۡ فِيهِ وَبَٰطِلࣱ مَّا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

As to these folk,- the cult they are in is (but) a fragment of a ruin, and vain is the (worship) which they practise

39:43 الزُّمَرِ Az-Zumar
أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ شُفَعَآءَۚ قُلۡ أَوَلَوۡ كَانُواْ لَا يَمۡلِكُونَ شَيۡـࣰٔ ا وَلَا يَعۡقِلُونَ

What! Do they take for intercessors others besides Allah? Say: "Even if they have no power whatever and no intelligence

2:103 البَقَرَةِ Al-Baqara
وَلَوۡ أَنَّهُمۡ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱتَّقَوۡاْ لَمَثُوبَةࣱ مِّنۡ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ خَيۡرࣱۚ لَّوۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡلَمُونَ

If they had kept their Faith and guarded themselves from evil, far better had been the reward from their Lord, if they but knew

Open ayah In surah context Juz 1
29:34 الْعَنْكَبُوْتِ Al-Ankaboot
إِنَّا مُنزِلُونَ عَلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِ هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ رِجۡزࣰ ا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفۡسُقُونَ

For we are going to bring down on the people of this township a Punishment from heaven, because they have been wickedly rebellious

Open ayah In surah context Juz 20
32:17 السَّجْدَةِ As-Sajda
فَلَا تَعۡلَمُ نَفۡسࣱ مَّآ أُخۡفِيَ لَهُم مِّن قُرَّةِ أَعۡيُنࣲ جَزَآءَۢ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

Now no person knows what delights of the eye are kept hidden (in reserve) for them - as a reward for their (good) deeds

36:65 يٰسٓ Yaseen
ٱلۡيَوۡمَ نَخۡتِمُ عَلَىٰٓ أَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ وَتُكَلِّمُنَآ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَتَشۡهَدُ أَرۡجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ

That Day shall We set a seal on their mouths. But their hands will speak to us, and their feet bear witness, to all that they did

39:26 الزُّمَرِ Az-Zumar
فَأَذَاقَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡخِزۡيَ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ أَكۡبَرُۚ لَوۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡلَمُونَ

So Allah gave them a taste of humiliation in the present life, but greater is the punishment of the Hereafter, if they only knew

41:20 فُصِّلَتۡ Fussilat
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا مَا جَآءُوهَا شَهِدَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ سَمۡعُهُمۡ وَأَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ وَجُلُودُهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

At length, when they reach the (Fire), their hearing, their sight, and their skins will bear witness against them, as to (all) their deeds

41:27 فُصِّلَتۡ Fussilat
فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ عَذَابࣰ ا شَدِيدࣰ ا وَلَنَجۡزِيَنَّهُمۡ أَسۡوَأَ ٱلَّذِي كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

But We will certainly give the Unbelievers a taste of a severe Penalty, and We will requite them for the worst of their deeds

Open ayah In surah context Juz 24
41:48 فُصِّلَتۡ Fussilat
وَضَلَّ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَدۡعُونَ مِن قَبۡلُۖ وَظَنُّواْ مَا لَهُم مِّن مَّحِيصࣲ‏

The (deities) they used to invoke aforetime will leave them in the lurch, and they will perceive that they have no way of escape

44:37 الدُّخَانِ Ad-Dukhaan
أَهُمۡ خَيۡرٌ أَمۡ قَوۡمُ تُبَّعࣲ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ مُجۡرِمِينَ

What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin

45:33 الْجَاثِيَةِ Al-Jaathiya
وَبَدَا لَهُمۡ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا عَمِلُواْ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ

Then will appear to them the evil (fruits) of what they did, and they will be completely encircled by that which they used to mock at

63:2 الْمُنَافِقُوْنَ Al-Munaafiqoon
ٱتَّخَذُوٓاْ أَيۡمَٰنَهُمۡ جُنَّةࣰ فَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّهُمۡ سَآءَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

They have made their oaths a screen (for their misdeeds): thus they obstruct (men) from the Path of Allah: truly evil are their deeds

6:5 الْاَنْعَامِ Al-An'aam
فَقَدۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِٱلۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ فَسَوۡفَ يَأۡتِيهِمۡ أَنۢبَٰٓؤُاْ مَا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ

And now they reject the truth when it reaches them: but soon shall they learn the reality of what they used to mock at

10:70 يُوْنُسَ Yunus
مَتَٰعࣱ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا ثُمَّ إِلَيۡنَا مَرۡجِعُهُمۡ ثُمَّ نُذِيقُهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلشَّدِيدَ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡفُرُونَ

A little enjoyment in this world!- and then, to Us will be their return, then shall We make them taste the severest penalty for their blasphemies

33:15 الْاَحْزَابِ Al-Ahzaab
وَلَقَدۡ كَانُواْ عَٰهَدُواْ ٱللَّهَ مِن قَبۡلُ لَا يُوَلُّونَ ٱلۡأَدۡبَٰرَۚ وَكَانَ عَهۡدُ ٱللَّهِ مَسۡـُٔولࣰ ا

And yet they had already covenanted with Allah not to turn their backs, and a covenant with Allah must (surely) be answered for

2:10 البَقَرَةِ Al-Baqara
فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضࣱ فَزَادَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مَرَضࣰ اۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمُۢ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡذِبُونَ

In their hearts is a disease; and Allah has increased their disease: And grievous is the penalty they (incur), because they are false (to themselves)

21:77 الْاَنْۣبِيَآءِ Al-Anbiyaa
وَنَصَرۡنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَوۡمَ سَوۡءࣲ فَأَغۡرَقۡنَٰهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ

We helped him against people who rejected Our Signs: truly they were a people given to Evil: so We drowned them (in the Flood) all together

Open ayah In surah context Juz 17
7:137 الْاَعْرَافِ Al-A'raaf
وَأَوۡرَثۡنَا ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُواْ يُسۡتَضۡعَفُونَ مَشَٰرِقَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَغَٰرِبَهَا ٱلَّتِي بَٰرَكۡنَا فِيهَاۖ وَتَمَّتۡ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ عَلَىٰ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ بِمَا صَبَرُواْۖ وَدَمَّرۡنَا مَا كَانَ يَصۡنَعُ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَقَوۡمُهُۥ وَمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡرِشُونَ

And We made a people, considered weak (and of no account), inheritors of lands in both east and west, - lands whereon We sent down Our blessings. The fair promise of thy Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel, because they had patience and constancy, and We levelled to the ground the great works and fine buildings which Pharaoh and his people erected (with such pride)

Open ayah In surah context Juz 9
34:41 سَبَاٍ Saba
قَالُواْ سُبۡحَٰنَكَ أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا مِن دُونِهِمۖ بَلۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡبُدُونَ ٱلۡجِنَّۖ أَكۡثَرُهُم بِهِم مُّؤۡمِنُونَ

They will say, "Glory to Thee! our (tie) is with Thee - as Protector - not with them. Nay, but they worshipped the Jinns: most of them believed in them

68:43 الْقَلَمِ Al-Qalam
خَٰشِعَةً أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ تَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةࣱۖ وَقَدۡ كَانُواْ يُدۡعَوۡنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ وَهُمۡ سَٰلِمُونَ

Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused)

7:147 الْاَعْرَافِ Al-A'raaf
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَلِقَآءِ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ حَبِطَتۡ أَعۡمَٰلُهُمۡۚ هَلۡ يُجۡزَوۡنَ إِلَّا مَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

Those who reject Our signs and the meeting in the Hereafter,- vain are their deeds: Can they expect to be rewarded except as they have wrought

9:62 التَّوْبَةِ At-Tawba
يَحۡلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ لَكُمۡ لِيُرۡضُوكُمۡ وَٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥٓ أَحَقُّ أَن يُرۡضُوهُ إِن كَانُواْ مُؤۡمِنِينَ

To you they swear by Allah. In order to please you: But it is more fitting that they should please Allah and His Messenger, if they are Believers
