68:46 الْقَلَمِ Al-Qalam
أَمۡ تَسۡـَٔلُهُمۡ أَجۡرࣰ ا فَهُم مِّن مَّغۡرَمࣲ مُّثۡقَلُونَ

Or is it that thou dost ask them for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt

أَمۡ عِندَهُمُ ٱلۡغَيۡبُ فَهُمۡ يَكۡتُبُونَ

Or that the Unseen is in their hands, so that they can write it down

وَإِن يَكَادُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَيُزۡلِقُونَكَ بِأَبۡصَٰرِهِمۡ لَمَّا سَمِعُواْ ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُۥ لَمَجۡنُونࣱ‏

And the Unbelievers would almost trip thee up with their eyes when they hear the Message; and they say: "Surely he is possessed

69:7 الْحَآقَّةِ Al-Haaqqa
سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ سَبۡعَ لَيَالࣲ وَثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومࣰ اۖ فَتَرَى ٱلۡقَوۡمَ فِيهَا صَرۡعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمۡ أَعۡجَازُ نَخۡلٍ خَاوِيَةࣲ‏

He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down

69:8 الْحَآقَّةِ Al-Haaqqa
فَهَلۡ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّنۢ بَاقِيَةࣲ‏

Then seest thou any of them left surviving

69:10 الْحَآقَّةِ Al-Haaqqa
فَعَصَوۡاْ رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمۡ فَأَخَذَهُمۡ أَخۡذَةࣰ رَّابِيَةً

And disobeyed (each) the messenger of their Lord; so He punished them with an abundant Penalty

69:17 الْحَآقَّةِ Al-Haaqqa
وَٱلۡمَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرۡجَآئِهَاۚ وَيَحۡمِلُ عَرۡشَ رَبِّكَ فَوۡقَهُمۡ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ ثَمَٰنِيَةࣱ‏

And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them

69:19 الْحَآقَّةِ Al-Haaqqa
فَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ هَآؤُمُ ٱقۡرَءُواْ كِتَٰبِيَهۡ

Then he that will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Ah here! Read ye my Record

70:6 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
إِنَّهُمۡ يَرَوۡنَهُۥ بَعِيدࣰ ا

They see the (Day) indeed as a far-off (event)

70:11 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
يُبَصَّرُونَهُمۡۚ يَوَدُّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُ لَوۡ يَفۡتَدِي مِنۡ عَذَابِ يَوۡمِئِذِۭ بِبَنِيهِ

Though they will be put in sight of each other,- the sinner's desire will be: Would that he could redeem himself from the Penalty of that Day by (sacrificing) his children

70:23 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمۡ دَآئِمُونَ

Those who remain steadfast to their prayer

70:24 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
وَٱلَّذِينَ فِيٓ أَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ حَقࣱّ مَّعۡلُومࣱ‏

And those in whose wealth is a recognised right

70:27 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم مِّنۡ عَذَابِ رَبِّهِم مُّشۡفِقُونَ

And those who fear the displeasure of their Lord

إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّهِمۡ غَيۡرُ مَأۡمُونࣲ‏

For their Lord's displeasure is the opposite of Peace and Tranquillity

70:29 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ لِفُرُوجِهِمۡ حَٰفِظُونَ

And those who guard their chastity

70:30 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
إِلَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَزۡوَٰجِهِمۡ أَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ أَيۡمَٰنُهُمۡ فَإِنَّهُمۡ غَيۡرُ مَلُومِينَ

Except with their wives and the (captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (then) they are not to be blamed

70:31 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
فَمَنِ ٱبۡتَغَىٰ وَرَآءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡعَادُونَ

But those who trespass beyond this are transgressors

70:32 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ لِأَمَٰنَٰتِهِمۡ وَعَهۡدِهِمۡ رَٰعُونَ

And those who respect their trusts and covenants

70:33 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِشَهَٰدَٰتِهِمۡ قَآئِمُونَ

And those who stand firm in their testimonies

70:34 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمۡ يُحَافِظُونَ

And those who guard (the sacredness) of their worship

70:38 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
أَيَطۡمَعُ كُلُّ ٱمۡرِيࣲٕ مِّنۡهُمۡ أَن يُدۡخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيمࣲ‏

Does every man of them long to enter the Garden of Bliss

70:39 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
كَلَّآۖ إِنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰهُم مِّمَّا يَعۡلَمُونَ

By no means! For We have created them out of the (base matter) they know

70:41 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ خَيۡرࣰ ا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَسۡبُوقِينَ

Substitute for them better (men) than they; And We are not to be defeated (in Our Plan)

70:42 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
فَذَرۡهُمۡ يَخُوضُواْ وَيَلۡعَبُواْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُواْ يَوۡمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ

So leave them to plunge in vain talk and play about, until they encounter that Day of theirs which they have been promised

70:43 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
يَوۡمَ يَخۡرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِ سِرَاعࣰ ا كَأَنَّهُمۡ إِلَىٰ نُصُبࣲ يُوفِضُونَ

The Day whereon they will issue from their sepulchres in sudden haste as if they were rushing to a goal-post (fixed for them)

70:44 الْمَعَارِجِ Al-Ma'aarij
خَٰشِعَةً أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ تَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةࣱۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمُ ٱلَّذِي كَانُواْ يُوعَدُونَ

Their eyes lowered in dejection,- ignominy covering them (all over)! such is the Day the which they are promised

71:1 نُوْحٍ Nooh
إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦٓ أَنۡ أَنذِرۡ قَوۡمَكَ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن يَأۡتِيَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمࣱ‏

We sent Noah to his People (with the Command): "Do thou warn thy People before there comes to them a grievous Penalty

71:6 نُوْحٍ Nooh
فَلَمۡ يَزِدۡهُمۡ دُعَآءِيٓ إِلَّا فِرَارࣰ ا

But my call only increases (their) flight (from the Right)

71:7 نُوْحٍ Nooh
وَإِنِّي كُلَّمَا دَعَوۡتُهُمۡ لِتَغۡفِرَ لَهُمۡ جَعَلُوٓاْ أَصَٰبِعَهُمۡ فِيٓ ءَاذَانِهِمۡ وَٱسۡتَغۡشَوۡاْ ثِيَابَهُمۡ وَأَصَرُّواْ وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ ٱسۡتِكۡبَارࣰ ا

And every time I have called to them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they have (only) thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance

71:8 نُوْحٍ Nooh
ثُمَّ إِنِّي دَعَوۡتُهُمۡ جِهَارࣰ ا

So I have called to them aloud

71:9 نُوْحٍ Nooh
ثُمَّ إِنِّيٓ أَعۡلَنتُ لَهُمۡ وَأَسۡرَرۡتُ لَهُمۡ إِسۡرَارࣰ ا

Further I have spoken to them in public and secretly in private

71:21 نُوْحٍ Nooh
قَالَ نُوحࣱ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمۡ عَصَوۡنِي وَٱتَّبَعُواْ مَن لَّمۡ يَزِدۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ إِلَّا خَسَارࣰ ا

Noah said: "O my Lord! They have disobeyed me, but they follow (men) whose wealth and children give them no increase but only Loss

71:25 نُوْحٍ Nooh
مِّمَّا خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِهِمۡ أُغۡرِقُواْ فَأُدۡخِلُواْ نَارࣰ ا فَلَمۡ يَجِدُواْ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَنصَارࣰ ا

Because of their sins they were drowned (in the flood), and were made to enter the Fire (of Punishment): and they found- in lieu of Allah- none to help them

71:27 نُوْحٍ Nooh
إِنَّكَ إِن تَذَرۡهُمۡ يُضِلُّواْ عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوٓاْ إِلَّا فَاجِرࣰ ا كَفَّارࣰ ا

For, if Thou dost leave (any of) them, they will but mislead Thy devotees, and they will breed none but wicked ungrateful ones

72:6 الْجِنِّ Al-Jinn
وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ رِجَالࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالࣲ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمۡ رَهَقࣰ ا

True, there were persons among mankind who took shelter with persons among the Jinns, but they increased them in folly

72:7 الْجِنِّ Al-Jinn
وَأَنَّهُمۡ ظَنُّواْ كَمَا ظَنَنتُمۡ أَن لَّن يَبۡعَثَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدࣰ ا

And they (came to) think as ye thought, that Allah would not raise up any one (to Judgment)

72:10 الْجِنِّ Al-Jinn
وَأَنَّا لَا نَدۡرِيٓ أَشَرٌّ أُرِيدَ بِمَن فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَمۡ أَرَادَ بِهِمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ رَشَدࣰ ا

And we understand not whether ill is intended to those on earth, or whether their Lord (really) intends to guide them to right conduct

72:16 الْجِنِّ Al-Jinn
وَأَلَّوِ ٱسۡتَقَٰمُواْ عَلَى ٱلطَّرِيقَةِ لَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰهُم مَّآءً غَدَقࣰ ا

(And Allah's Message is): "If they (the Pagans) had (only) remained on the (right) Way, We should certainly have bestowed on them Rain in abundance

72:17 الْجِنِّ Al-Jinn
لِّنَفۡتِنَهُمۡ فِيهِۚ وَمَن يُعۡرِضۡ عَن ذِكۡرِ رَبِّهِۦ يَسۡلُكۡهُ عَذَابࣰ ا صَعَدࣰ ا

That We might try them by that (means). But if any turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to undergo a severe Penalty

72:28 الْجِنِّ Al-Jinn
لِّيَعۡلَمَ أَن قَدۡ أَبۡلَغُواْ رِسَٰلَٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَأَحَاطَ بِمَا لَدَيۡهِمۡ وَأَحۡصَىٰ كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ عَدَدَۢا

That He may know that they have (truly) brought and delivered the Messages of their Lord: and He surrounds (all the mysteries) that are with them, and takes account of every single thing

73:10 الْمُزَّمِّلِ Al-Muzzammil
وَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَٱهۡجُرۡهُمۡ هَجۡرࣰ ا جَمِيلࣰ ا

And have patience with what they say, and leave them with noble (dignity)

73:11 الْمُزَّمِّلِ Al-Muzzammil
وَذَرۡنِي وَٱلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ أُوْلِي ٱلنَّعۡمَةِ وَمَهِّلۡهُمۡ قَلِيلًا

And leave Me (alone to deal with) those in possession of the good things of life, who (yet) deny the Truth; and bear with them for a little while

74:31 الْمُدَّثِّرِ Al-Muddaththir
وَمَا جَعَلۡنَآ أَصۡحَٰبَ ٱلنَّارِ إِلَّا مَلَٰٓئِكَةࣰۖ وَمَا جَعَلۡنَا عِدَّتَهُمۡ إِلَّا فِتۡنَةࣰ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِيَسۡتَيۡقِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَيَزۡدَادَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِيمَٰنࣰ ا وَلَا يَرۡتَابَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ وَلِيَقُولَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضࣱ وَٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ مَاذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَٰذَا مَثَلࣰ اۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهۡدِي مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَمَا يَعۡلَمُ جُنُودَ رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَۚ وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرَىٰ لِلۡبَشَرِ

And We have set none but angels as Guardians of the Fire; and We have fixed their number only as a trial for Unbelievers,- in order that the People of the Book may arrive at certainty, and the Believers may increase in Faith,- and that no doubts may be left for the People of the Book and the Believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the Unbelievers may say, "What symbol doth Allah intend by this?" Thus doth Allah leave to stray whom He pleaseth, and guide whom He pleaseth: and none can know the forces of thy Lord, except He and this is no other than a warning to mankind

74:48 الْمُدَّثِّرِ Al-Muddaththir
فَمَا تَنفَعُهُمۡ شَفَٰعَةُ ٱلشَّٰفِعِينَ

Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them

74:49 الْمُدَّثِّرِ Al-Muddaththir
فَمَا لَهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلتَّذۡكِرَةِ مُعۡرِضِينَ

Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition

74:50 الْمُدَّثِّرِ Al-Muddaththir
كَأَنَّهُمۡ حُمُرࣱ مُّسۡتَنفِرَةࣱ‏

As if they were affrighted asses

74:52 الْمُدَّثِّرِ Al-Muddaththir
بَلۡ يُرِيدُ كُلُّ ٱمۡرِيࣲٕ مِّنۡهُمۡ أَن يُؤۡتَىٰ صُحُفࣰ ا مُّنَشَّرَةࣰ‏

Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out

76:11 الدَّهْرِ Al-Insaan
فَوَقَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمِ وَلَقَّىٰهُمۡ نَضۡرَةࣰ وَسُرُورࣰ ا

But Allah will deliver them from the evil of that Day, and will shed over them a Light of Beauty and (blissful) Joy

76:12 الدَّهْرِ Al-Insaan
وَجَزَىٰهُم بِمَا صَبَرُواْ جَنَّةࣰ وَحَرِيرࣰ ا

And because they were patient and constant, He will reward them with a Garden and (garments of) silk

76:14 الدَّهْرِ Al-Insaan
وَدَانِيَةً عَلَيۡهِمۡ ظِلَٰلُهَا وَذُلِّلَتۡ قُطُوفُهَا تَذۡلِيلࣰ ا

And the shades of the (Garden) will come low over them, and the bunches (of fruit), there, will hang low in humility
