69:44 الْحَآقَّةِ Al-Haaqqa
وَلَوۡ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيۡنَا بَعۡضَ ٱلۡأَقَاوِيلِ

And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name

71:21 نُوْحٍ Nooh
قَالَ نُوحࣱ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمۡ عَصَوۡنِي وَٱتَّبَعُواْ مَن لَّمۡ يَزِدۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ إِلَّا خَسَارࣰ ا

Noah said: "O my Lord! They have disobeyed me, but they follow (men) whose wealth and children give them no increase but only Loss

71:23 نُوْحٍ Nooh
وَقَالُواْ لَا تَذَرُنَّ ءَالِهَتَكُمۡ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدࣰّ ا وَلَا سُوَاعࣰ ا وَلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسۡرࣰ ا

And they have said (to each other), 'Abandon not your gods: Abandon neither Wadd nor Suwa', neither Yaguth nor Ya'uq, nor Nasr

71:26 نُوْحٍ Nooh
وَقَالَ نُوحࣱ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرۡ عَلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ دَيَّارًا

And Noah, said: "O my Lord! Leave not of the Unbelievers, a single one on earth

72:1 الْجِنِّ Al-Jinn
قُلۡ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّهُ ٱسۡتَمَعَ نَفَرࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ فَقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا سَمِعۡنَا قُرۡءَانًا عَجَبࣰ ا

Say: It has been revealed to me that a company of Jinns listened (to the Qur'an). They said, 'We have really heard a wonderful Recital

72:4 الْجِنِّ Al-Jinn
وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ يَقُولُ سَفِيهُنَا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ شَطَطࣰ ا

There were some foolish ones among us, who used to utter extravagant lies against Allah

72:5 الْجِنِّ Al-Jinn
وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّآ أَن لَّن تَقُولَ ٱلۡإِنسُ وَٱلۡجِنُّ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبࣰ ا

But we do think that no man or spirit should say aught that untrue against Allah

72:20 الْجِنِّ Al-Jinn
قُلۡ إِنَّمَآ أَدۡعُواْ رَبِّي وَلَآ أُشۡرِكُ بِهِۦٓ أَحَدࣰ ا

Say: "I do no more than invoke my Lord, and I join not with Him any (false god)

72:21 الْجِنِّ Al-Jinn
قُلۡ إِنِّي لَآ أَمۡلِكُ لَكُمۡ ضَرࣰّ ا وَلَا رَشَدࣰ ا

Say: "It is not in my power to cause you harm, or to bring you to right conduct

72:22 الْجِنِّ Al-Jinn
قُلۡ إِنِّي لَن يُجِيرَنِي مِنَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدࣱ وَلَنۡ أَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مُلۡتَحَدًا

Say: "No one can deliver me from Allah (If I were to disobey Him), nor should I find refuge except in Him

72:24 الْجِنِّ Al-Jinn
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوۡاْ مَا يُوعَدُونَ فَسَيَعۡلَمُونَ مَنۡ أَضۡعَفُ نَاصِرࣰ ا وَأَقَلُّ عَدَدࣰ ا

At length, when they see (with their own eyes) that which they are promised,- then will they know who it is that is weakest in (his) helper and least important in point of numbers

72:25 الْجِنِّ Al-Jinn
قُلۡ إِنۡ أَدۡرِيٓ أَقَرِيبࣱ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ أَمۡ يَجۡعَلُ لَهُۥ رَبِّيٓ أَمَدًا

Say: "I know not whether the (Punishment) which ye are promised is near, or whether my Lord will appoint for it a distant term

73:2 الْمُزَّمِّلِ Al-Muzzammil
قُمِ ٱلَّيۡلَ إِلَّا قَلِيلࣰ ا

Stand (to prayer) by night, but not all night

نِّصۡفَهُۥٓ أَوِ ٱنقُصۡ مِنۡهُ قَلِيلًا

Half of it,- or a little less

73:5 الْمُزَّمِّلِ Al-Muzzammil
إِنَّا سَنُلۡقِي عَلَيۡكَ قَوۡلࣰ ا ثَقِيلًا

Soon shall We send down to thee a weighty Message

73:6 الْمُزَّمِّلِ Al-Muzzammil
إِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ ٱلَّيۡلِ هِيَ أَشَدُّ وَطۡـࣰٔ ا وَأَقۡوَمُ قِيلًا

Truly the rising by night is most potent for governing (the soul), and most suitable for (framing) the Word (of Prayer and Praise)

73:10 الْمُزَّمِّلِ Al-Muzzammil
وَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَٱهۡجُرۡهُمۡ هَجۡرࣰ ا جَمِيلࣰ ا

And have patience with what they say, and leave them with noble (dignity)

73:11 الْمُزَّمِّلِ Al-Muzzammil
وَذَرۡنِي وَٱلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ أُوْلِي ٱلنَّعۡمَةِ وَمَهِّلۡهُمۡ قَلِيلًا

And leave Me (alone to deal with) those in possession of the good things of life, who (yet) deny the Truth; and bear with them for a little while

74:24 الْمُدَّثِّرِ Al-Muddaththir
فَقَالَ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحۡرࣱ يُؤۡثَرُ

Then said he: "This is nothing but magic, derived from of old

74:25 الْمُدَّثِّرِ Al-Muddaththir
إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا قَوۡلُ ٱلۡبَشَرِ

This is nothing but the word of a mortal

74:31 الْمُدَّثِّرِ Al-Muddaththir
وَمَا جَعَلۡنَآ أَصۡحَٰبَ ٱلنَّارِ إِلَّا مَلَٰٓئِكَةࣰۖ وَمَا جَعَلۡنَا عِدَّتَهُمۡ إِلَّا فِتۡنَةࣰ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِيَسۡتَيۡقِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَيَزۡدَادَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِيمَٰنࣰ ا وَلَا يَرۡتَابَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ وَلِيَقُولَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضࣱ وَٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ مَاذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَٰذَا مَثَلࣰ اۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهۡدِي مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَمَا يَعۡلَمُ جُنُودَ رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَۚ وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرَىٰ لِلۡبَشَرِ

And We have set none but angels as Guardians of the Fire; and We have fixed their number only as a trial for Unbelievers,- in order that the People of the Book may arrive at certainty, and the Believers may increase in Faith,- and that no doubts may be left for the People of the Book and the Believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the Unbelievers may say, "What symbol doth Allah intend by this?" Thus doth Allah leave to stray whom He pleaseth, and guide whom He pleaseth: and none can know the forces of thy Lord, except He and this is no other than a warning to mankind

74:43 الْمُدَّثِّرِ Al-Muddaththir
قَالُواْ لَمۡ نَكُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُصَلِّينَ

They will say: "We were not of those who prayed

75:10 الْقِيَامَةِ Al-Qiyaama
يَقُولُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ يَوۡمَئِذٍ أَيۡنَ ٱلۡمَفَرُّ

That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge

75:27 الْقِيَامَةِ Al-Qiyaama
وَقِيلَ مَنۡۜ رَاقࣲ‏

And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)

76:27 الدَّهْرِ Al-Insaan
إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ يُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَآءَهُمۡ يَوۡمࣰ ا ثَقِيلࣰ ا

As to these, they love the fleeting life, and put away behind them a Day (that will be) hard

77:46 الْمُرْسَلَاتِ Al-Mursalaat
كُلُواْ وَتَمَتَّعُواْ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجۡرِمُونَ

(O ye unjust!) Eat ye and enjoy yourselves (but) a little while, for that ye are Sinners

77:48 الْمُرْسَلَاتِ Al-Mursalaat
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرۡكَعُواْ لَا يَرۡكَعُونَ

And when it is said to them, "Prostrate yourselves!" they do not so

78:38 النَّبَاِ An-Naba
يَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱلرُّوحُ وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ صَفࣰّ اۖ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنۡ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابࣰ ا

The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand forth in ranks, none shall speak except any who is permitted by (Allah) Most Gracious, and He will say what is right

78:40 النَّبَاِ An-Naba
إِنَّآ أَنذَرۡنَٰكُمۡ عَذَابࣰ ا قَرِيبࣰ ا يَوۡمَ يَنظُرُ ٱلۡمَرۡءُ مَا قَدَّمَتۡ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ ٱلۡكَافِرُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي كُنتُ تُرَٰبَۢا

Verily, We have warned you of a Penalty near, the Day when man will see (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the Unbeliever will say, "Woe unto me! Would that I were (metre) dust

79:8 النَّازِعَاتِ An-Naazi'aat
قُلُوبࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ وَاجِفَةٌ

Hearts that Day will be in agitation

79:10 النَّازِعَاتِ An-Naazi'aat
يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرۡدُودُونَ فِي ٱلۡحَافِرَةِ

They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state

79:12 النَّازِعَاتِ An-Naazi'aat
قَالُواْ تِلۡكَ إِذࣰ ا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةࣱ‏

They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss

79:18 النَّازِعَاتِ An-Naazi'aat
فَقُلۡ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ

And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)

79:24 النَّازِعَاتِ An-Naazi'aat
فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ

Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High

81:19 التَّكْوِيْرِ At-Takwir
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلُ رَسُولࣲ كَرِيمࣲ‏

Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger

81:25 التَّكْوِيْرِ At-Takwir
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوۡلِ شَيۡطَٰنࣲ رَّجِيمࣲ‏

Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed

83:13 المُطَفِّفِيْنَ Al-Mutaffifin
إِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

When Our Signs are rehearsed to him, he says, "Tales of the ancients

83:14 المُطَفِّفِيْنَ Al-Mutaffifin
كَلَّاۖ بَلۡۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ

By no means! but on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do

83:17 المُطَفِّفِيْنَ Al-Mutaffifin
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ

Further, it will be said to them: "This is the (reality) which ye rejected as false

83:31 المُطَفِّفِيْنَ Al-Mutaffifin
وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓاْ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُواْ فَكِهِينَ

And when they returned to their own people, they would return jesting

83:32 المُطَفِّفِيْنَ Al-Mutaffifin
وَإِذَا رَأَوۡهُمۡ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ

And whenever they saw them, they would say, "Behold! These are the people truly astray

84:9 الاِنْشِقَاقِ Al-Inshiqaaq
وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ مَسۡرُورࣰ ا

And he will turn to his people, rejoicing

86:13 الطَّارِقِ At-Taariq
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلࣱ فَصۡلࣱ‏

Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil)

89:15 الْفَجْرِ Al-Fajr
فَأَمَّا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ إِذَا مَا ٱبۡتَلَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَأَكۡرَمَهُۥ وَنَعَّمَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّيٓ أَكۡرَمَنِ

Now, as for man, when his Lord trieth him, giving him honour and gifts, then saith he, (puffed up), "My Lord hath honoured me

89:16 الْفَجْرِ Al-Fajr
وَأَمَّآ إِذَا مَا ٱبۡتَلَىٰهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيۡهِ رِزۡقَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّيٓ أَهَٰنَنِ

But when He trieth him, restricting his subsistence for him, then saith he (in despair), "My Lord hath humiliated me

89:24 الْفَجْرِ Al-Fajr
يَقُولُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي قَدَّمۡتُ لِحَيَاتِي

He will say: "Ah! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my (Future) Life

90:6 الْبَلَدِ Al-Balad
يَقُولُ أَهۡلَكۡتُ مَالࣰ ا لُّبَدًا

He may say (boastfully); Wealth have I squandered in abundance
