31:2 لُقْمَانَ Luqman
تِلۡكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ٱلۡحَكِيمِ

These are Verses of the Wise Book

2:176 البَقَرَةِ Al-Baqara
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ نَزَّلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَفِي شِقَاقِۭ بَعِيدࣲ‏

(Their doom is) because Allah sent down the Book in truth but those who seek causes of dispute in the Book are in a schism Far (from the purpose)

29:47 الْعَنْكَبُوْتِ Al-Ankaboot
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَۚ فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦۖ وَمِنۡ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَن يُؤۡمِنُ بِهِۦۚ وَمَا يَجۡحَدُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِلَّا ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ

And thus (it is) that We have sent down the Book to thee. So the People of the Book believe therein, as also do some of these (pagan Arabs): and none but Unbelievers reject our signs

23:49 الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ Al-Muminoon
وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَا مُوسَى ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَهۡتَدُونَ

And We gave Moses the Book, in order that they might receive guidance

40:2 الْمُؤْمِنِ Ghafir
تَنزِيلُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡعَلِيمِ

The Revelation of the Book is from Allah the Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom

3:48 اٰلِ عِمْرٰنَ Aal-i-Imraan
وَيُعَلِّمُهُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَ

And Allah will teach him the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel

15:1 الْحِجْرِ Al-Hijr
الٓرۚ تِلۡكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَقُرۡءَانࣲ مُّبِينࣲ‏

L. R. These are the Ayats of Revelation,- of a Qur'an that makes things clear

28:52 الْقَصَصِ Al-Qasas
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبۡلِهِۦ هُم بِهِۦ يُؤۡمِنُونَ

Those to whom We sent the Book before this,- they do believe in this (revelation)

2:2 البَقَرَةِ Al-Baqara
ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبُ لَا رَيۡبَۛ فِيهِۛ هُدࣰ ى لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ

This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah

19:41 مَرْيَمَ Maryam
وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقࣰ ا نَّبِيًّا

Also mention in the Book (the story of) Abraham: He was a man of Truth, a prophet

5:15 المَآئِدَةِ Al-Maaida
يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ قَدۡ جَآءَكُمۡ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمۡ كَثِيرࣰ ا مِّمَّا كُنتُمۡ تُخۡفُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَيَعۡفُواْ عَن كَثِيرࣲۚ قَدۡ جَآءَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ نُورࣱ وَكِتَٰبࣱ مُّبِينࣱ‏

O people of the Book! There hath come to you our Messenger, revealing to you much that ye used to hide in the Book, and passing over much (that is now unnecessary): There hath come to you from Allah a (new) light and a perspicuous Book

13:39 الرَّعْدِ Ar-Ra'd
يَمۡحُواْ ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَيُثۡبِتُۖ وَعِندَهُۥٓ أُمُّ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ

Allah doth blot out or confirm what He pleaseth: with Him is the Mother of the Book

19:30 مَرْيَمَ Maryam
قَالَ إِنِّي عَبۡدُ ٱللَّهِ ءَاتَىٰنِيَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَجَعَلَنِي نَبِيࣰّ ا

He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah: He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet

25:35 الْفُرْقَانِ Al-Furqaan
وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَا مُوسَى ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَجَعَلۡنَا مَعَهُۥٓ أَخَاهُ هَٰرُونَ وَزِيرࣰ ا

(Before this,) We sent Moses The Book, and appointed his brother Aaron with him as minister

32:2 السَّجْدَةِ As-Sajda
تَنزِيلُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَا رَيۡبَ فِيهِ مِن رَّبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

(This is) the Revelation of the Book in which there is no doubt,- from the Lord of the Worlds

43:4 الزُّخْرُفِ Az-Zukhruf
وَإِنَّهُۥ فِيٓ أُمِّ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَدَيۡنَا لَعَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ

And verily, it is in the Mother of the Book, in Our Presence, high (in dignity), full of wisdom

19:56 مَرْيَمَ Maryam
وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ إِدۡرِيسَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقࣰ ا نَّبِيࣰّ ا

Also mention in the Book the case of Idris: He was a man of truth (and sincerity), (and) a prophet

40:53 الْمُؤْمِنِ Ghafir
وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَا مُوسَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَأَوۡرَثۡنَا بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ

We did aforetime give Moses the (Book of) Guidance, and We gave the book in inheritance to the Children of Israel

98:4 الْبَيِّنَةِ Al-Bayyina
وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَتۡهُمُ ٱلۡبَيِّنَةُ

Nor did the People of the Book make schisms, until after there came to them Clear Evidence

3:70 اٰلِ عِمْرٰنَ Aal-i-Imraan
يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تَكۡفُرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَنتُمۡ تَشۡهَدُونَ

Ye People of the Book! Why reject ye the Signs of Allah, of which ye are (Yourselves) witnesses

Open ayah In surah context Juz 3
18:1 الْكَهْفِ Al-Kahf
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنزَلَ عَلَىٰ عَبۡدِهِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَلَمۡ يَجۡعَل لَّهُۥ عِوَجَاۜ

Praise be to Allah, Who hath sent to His Servant the Book, and hath allowed therein no Crookedness

6:114 الْاَنْعَامِ Al-An'aam
أَفَغَيۡرَ ٱللَّهِ أَبۡتَغِي حَكَمࣰ ا وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنزَلَ إِلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ مُفَصَّلࣰ اۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ يَعۡلَمُونَ أَنَّهُۥ مُنَزَّلࣱ مِّن رَّبِّكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمُمۡتَرِينَ

Say: "Shall I seek for judge other than Allah? - when He it is Who hath sent unto you the Book, explained in detail." They know full well, to whom We have given the Book, that it hath been sent down from thy Lord in truth. Never be then of those who doubt

Open ayah In surah context Juz 8
19:12 مَرْيَمَ Maryam
يَٰيَحۡيَىٰ خُذِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ بِقُوَّةࣲۖ وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ ٱلۡحُكۡمَ صَبِيࣰّ ا

(To his son came the command): "O Yahya! take hold of the Book with might": and We gave him Wisdom even as a youth

Open ayah In surah context Juz 16
19:16 مَرْيَمَ Maryam
وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مَرۡيَمَ إِذِ ٱنتَبَذَتۡ مِنۡ أَهۡلِهَا مَكَانࣰ ا شَرۡقِيࣰّ ا

Relate in the Book (the story of) Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East

2:53 البَقَرَةِ Al-Baqara
وَإِذۡ ءَاتَيۡنَا مُوسَى ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡفُرۡقَانَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَهۡتَدُونَ

And remember We gave Moses the Scripture and the Criterion (Between right and wrong): There was a chance for you to be guided aright

Open ayah In surah context Juz 1
7:196 الْاَعْرَافِ Al-A'raaf
إِنَّ وَلِـِّۧيَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي نَزَّلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَۖ وَهُوَ يَتَوَلَّى ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

For my Protector is Allah, Who revealed the Book (from time to time), and He will choose and befriend the righteous

39:2 الزُّمَرِ Az-Zumar
إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ فَٱعۡبُدِ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصࣰ ا لَّهُ ٱلدِّينَ

Verily it is We Who have revealed the Book to thee in Truth: so serve Allah, offering Him sincere devotion

3:71 اٰلِ عِمْرٰنَ Aal-i-Imraan
يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تَلۡبِسُونَ ٱلۡحَقَّ بِٱلۡبَٰطِلِ وَتَكۡتُمُونَ ٱلۡحَقَّ وَأَنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ

Ye People of the Book! Why do ye clothe Truth with falsehood, and conceal the Truth, while ye have knowledge

19:51 مَرْيَمَ Maryam
وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مُوسَىٰٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مُخۡلَصࣰ ا وَكَانَ رَسُولࣰ ا نَّبِيࣰّ ا

Also mention in the Book (the story of) Moses: for he was specially chosen, and he was a messenger (and) a prophet

2:44 البَقَرَةِ Al-Baqara
۞أَتَأۡمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلۡبِرِّ وَتَنسَوۡنَ أَنفُسَكُمۡ وَأَنتُمۡ تَتۡلُونَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ

Do ye enjoin right conduct on the people, and forget (To practise it) yourselves, and yet ye study the Scripture? Will ye not understand

2:78 البَقَرَةِ Al-Baqara
وَمِنۡهُمۡ أُمِّيُّونَ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ إِلَّآ أَمَانِيَّ وَإِنۡ هُمۡ إِلَّا يَظُنُّونَ

And there are among them illiterates, who know not the Book, but (see therein their own) desires, and they do nothing but conjecture

3:98 اٰلِ عِمْرٰنَ Aal-i-Imraan
قُلۡ يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تَكۡفُرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱللَّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَىٰ مَا تَعۡمَلُونَ

Say: "O People of the Book! Why reject ye the Signs of Allah, when Allah is Himself witness to all ye do

Open ayah In surah context Juz 4
19:54 مَرْيَمَ Maryam
وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ إِسۡمَٰعِيلَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صَادِقَ ٱلۡوَعۡدِ وَكَانَ رَسُولࣰ ا نَّبِيࣰّ ا

Also mention in the Book (the story of) Isma'il: He was (strictly) true to what he promised, and he was a messenger (and) a prophet

3:79 اٰلِ عِمْرٰنَ Aal-i-Imraan
مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَن يُؤۡتِيَهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحُكۡمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُواْ عِبَادࣰ ا لِّي مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَٰكِن كُونُواْ رَبَّٰنِيِّـۧنَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تُعَلِّمُونَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَبِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَدۡرُسُونَ

It is not (possible) that a man, to whom is given the Book, and Wisdom, and the prophetic office, should say to people: "Be ye my worshippers rather than Allah's": on the contrary (He would say) "Be ye worshippers of Him Who is truly the Cherisher of all: For ye have taught the Book and ye have studied it earnestly

3:78 اٰلِ عِمْرٰنَ Aal-i-Imraan
وَإِنَّ مِنۡهُمۡ لَفَرِيقࣰ ا يَلۡوُۥنَ أَلۡسِنَتَهُم بِٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لِتَحۡسَبُوهُ مِنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ مِنۡ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنۡ عِندِ ٱللَّهِۖ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡكَذِبَ وَهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُونَ

There is among them a section who distort the Book with their tongues: (As they read) you would think it is a part of the Book, but it is no part of the Book; and they say, "That is from Allah," but it is not from Allah: It is they who tell a lie against Allah, and (well) they know it

Open ayah In surah context Juz 3
18:49 الْكَهْفِ Al-Kahf
وَوُضِعَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبُ فَتَرَى ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ مُشۡفِقِينَ مِمَّا فِيهِ وَيَقُولُونَ يَٰوَيۡلَتَنَا مَالِ هَٰذَا ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَا يُغَادِرُ صَغِيرَةࣰ وَلَا كَبِيرَةً إِلَّآ أَحۡصَىٰهَاۚ وَوَجَدُواْ مَا عَمِلُواْ حَاضِرࣰ اۗ وَلَا يَظۡلِمُ رَبُّكَ أَحَدࣰ ا

And the Book (of Deeds) will be placed (before you); and thou wilt see the sinful in great terror because of what is (recorded) therein; they will say, "Ah! woe to us! what a Book is this! It leaves out nothing small or great, but takes account thereof!" They will find all that they did, placed before them: And not one will thy Lord treat with injustice

Open ayah In surah context Juz 15
2:146 البَقَرَةِ Al-Baqara
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ يَعۡرِفُونَهُۥ كَمَا يَعۡرِفُونَ أَبۡنَآءَهُمۡۖ وَإِنَّ فَرِيقࣰ ا مِّنۡهُمۡ لَيَكۡتُمُونَ ٱلۡحَقَّ وَهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُونَ

The people of the Book know this as they know their own sons; but some of them conceal the truth which they themselves know

5:65 المَآئِدَةِ Al-Maaida
وَلَوۡ أَنَّ أَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱتَّقَوۡاْ لَكَفَّرۡنَا عَنۡهُمۡ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡ وَلَأَدۡخَلۡنَٰهُمۡ جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

If only the People of the Book had believed and been righteous, We should indeed have blotted out their iniquities and admitted them to gardens of bliss

6:20 الْاَنْعَامِ Al-An'aam
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ يَعۡرِفُونَهُۥ كَمَا يَعۡرِفُونَ أَبۡنَآءَهُمُۘ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ

Those to whom We have given the Book know this as they know their own sons. Those who have lost their own souls refuse therefore to believe

Open ayah In surah context Juz 7
17:2 الإِسۡرَاءِ Al-Israa
وَءَاتَيۡنَا مُوسَى ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ هُدࣰ ى لِّبَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ أَلَّا تَتَّخِذُواْ مِن دُونِي وَكِيلࣰ ا

We gave Moses the Book, and made it a Guide to the Children of Israel, (commanding): "Take not other than Me as Disposer of (your) affairs

98:1 الْبَيِّنَةِ Al-Bayyina
لَمۡ يَكُنِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأۡتِيَهُمُ ٱلۡبَيِّنَةُ

Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, were not going to depart (from their ways) until there should come to them Clear Evidence

Open ayah In surah context Juz 30
13:43 الرَّعْدِ Ar-Ra'd
وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَسۡتَ مُرۡسَلࣰ اۚ قُلۡ كَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَهِيدَۢا بَيۡنِي وَبَيۡنَكُمۡ وَمَنۡ عِندَهُۥ عِلۡمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ

The Unbelievers say: "No messenger art thou." Say: "Enough for a witness between me and you is Allah, and such as have knowledge of the Book
