89:8 الْفَجْرِ Al-Fajr
ٱلَّتِي لَمۡ يُخۡلَقۡ مِثۡلُهَا فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ

The like of which were not produced in (all) the land

فَصَبَّ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّكَ سَوۡطَ عَذَابٍ

Therefore did thy Lord pour on them a scourge of diverse chastisements

Now, as for man, when his Lord trieth him, giving him honour and gifts, then saith he, (puffed up), "My Lord hath honoured me

وَأَمَّآ إِذَا مَا ٱبۡتَلَىٰهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيۡهِ رِزۡقَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّيٓ أَهَٰنَنِ

But when He trieth him, restricting his subsistence for him, then saith he (in despair), "My Lord hath humiliated me

وَجِاْيٓءَ يَوۡمَئِذِۭ بِجَهَنَّمَۚ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ وَأَنَّىٰ لَهُ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ

And Hell, that Day, is brought (face to face),- on that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance profit him

أَيَحۡسَبُ أَن لَّن يَقۡدِرَ عَلَيۡهِ أَحَدࣱ‏

Thinketh he, that none hath power over him

Have We not made for him a pair of eyes

And its enlightenment as to its wrong and its right

فَقَالَ لَهُمۡ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ نَاقَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَسُقۡيَٰهَا

But the Messenger of Allah said to them: "It is a She-camel of Allah! And (bar her not from) having her drink

91:14 الشَّمْسِ Ash-Shams
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمۡدَمَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّهُم بِذَنۢبِهِمۡ فَسَوَّىٰهَا

Then they rejected him (as a false prophet), and they hamstrung her. So their Lord, on account of their crime, obliterated their traces and made them equal (in destruction, high and low)

92:11 الَّيْلِ Al-Lail
وَمَا يُغۡنِي عَنۡهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ

Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit)

92:12 الَّيْلِ Al-Lail
إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا لَلۡهُدَىٰ

Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide

None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones

Except such as believe and do righteous deeds: For they shall have a reward unfailing

أَلَيۡسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحۡكَمِ ٱلۡحَٰكِمِينَ

Is not Allah the wisest of judges

أَرَءَيۡتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰٓ

Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance

98:5 الْبَيِّنَةِ Al-Bayyina
وَمَآ أُمِرُوٓاْ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤۡتُواْ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَۚ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ ٱلۡقَيِّمَةِ

And they have been commanded no more than this: To worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being true (in faith); to establish regular prayer; and to practise regular charity; and that is the Religion Right and Straight

98:8 الْبَيِّنَةِ Al-Bayyina
جَزَآؤُهُمۡ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ جَنَّٰتُ عَدۡنࣲ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدࣰ اۖ رَّضِيَ ٱللَّهُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَرَضُواْ عَنۡهُۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنۡ خَشِيَ رَبَّهُۥ

Their reward is with Allah: Gardens of Eternity, beneath which rivers flow; they will dwell therein for ever; Allah well pleased with them, and they with Him: all this for such as fear their Lord and Cherisher

99:1 الزِّلْزَالِ Az-Zalzala
إِذَا زُلۡزِلَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ زِلۡزَالَهَا

When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion

99:2 الزِّلْزَالِ Az-Zalzala
وَأَخۡرَجَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ أَثۡقَالَهَا

And the earth throws up her burdens (from within)

99:3 الزِّلْزَالِ Az-Zalzala
وَقَالَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا لَهَا

And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her

بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوۡحَىٰ لَهَا

For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration

يَوۡمَئِذࣲ يَصۡدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشۡتَاتࣰ ا لِّيُرَوۡاْ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ

On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they (had done)

102:1 التَّكَاثُرِ At-Takaathur
أَلۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things)

104:3 الْهُمَزَةِ Al-Humaza
يَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ

Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever

نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ

(It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze)

إِنَّهَا عَلَيۡهِم مُّؤۡصَدَةࣱ‏

It shall be made into a vault over them

وَأَرۡسَلَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ طَيۡرًا أَبَابِيلَ

And He sent against them Flights of Birds

فَجَعَلَهُمۡ كَعَصۡفࣲ مَّأۡكُولِۭ

Then did He make them like an empty field of stalks and straw, (of which the corn) has been eaten up

إِذَا جَآءَ نَصۡرُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡفَتۡحُ

When comes the Help of Allah, and Victory

وَرَأَيۡتَ ٱلنَّاسَ يَدۡخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ ٱللَّهِ أَفۡوَاجࣰ ا

And thou dost see the people enter Allah's Religion in crowds

111:1 المَسَدِ Al-Masad
تَبَّتۡ يَدَآ أَبِي لَهَبࣲ وَتَبَّ

Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he

111:2 المَسَدِ Al-Masad
مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ

No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains

سَيَصۡلَىٰ نَارࣰ ا ذَاتَ لَهَبࣲ‏

Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only

Allah, the Eternal, Absolute

And there is none like unto Him
