37:65 الصَّافَّاتِ As-Saaffaat
طَلۡعُهَا كَأَنَّهُۥ رُءُوسُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ

The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils

فَإِنَّهُمۡ لَأٓكِلُونَ مِنۡهَا فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنۡهَا ٱلۡبُطُونَ

Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith

Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path

(This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated

فَبَشَّرۡنَٰهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ حَلِيمࣲ‏

So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear

وَنَٰدَيۡنَٰهُ أَن يَٰٓإِبۡرَٰهِيمُ

We called out to him "O Abraham

And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice

إِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

For he was one of our believing Servants

وَبَشَّرۡنَٰهُ بِإِسۡحَٰقَ نَبِيࣰّ ا مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous

37:115 الصَّافَّاتِ As-Saaffaat
وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُمَا وَقَوۡمَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلۡكَرۡبِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ

And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity

37:116 الصَّافَّاتِ As-Saaffaat
وَنَصَرۡنَٰهُمۡ فَكَانُواْ هُمُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبِينَ

And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles)

37:117 الصَّافَّاتِ As-Saaffaat
وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمَا ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَبِينَ

And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear

وَهَدَيۡنَٰهُمَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ

And We guided them to the Straight Way

37:122 الصَّافَّاتِ As-Saaffaat
إِنَّهُمَا مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

For they were two of our believing Servants

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُونَ

But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment)

إِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

For he was one of our believing Servants

إِذۡ نَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥٓ أَجۡمَعِينَ

Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all

فَلَوۡلَآ أَنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَبِّحِينَ

Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah

لَلَبِثَ فِي بَطۡنِهِۦٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ

He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection

۞فَنَبَذۡنَٰهُ بِٱلۡعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمࣱ‏

But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness

37:147 الصَّافَّاتِ As-Saaffaat
وَأَرۡسَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِاْئَةِ أَلۡفٍ أَوۡ يَزِيدُونَ

And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more

37:148 الصَّافَّاتِ As-Saaffaat
فَـَٔامَنُواْ فَمَتَّعۡنَٰهُمۡ إِلَىٰ حِينࣲ‏

And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while

37:151 الصَّافَّاتِ As-Saaffaat
أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنۡ إِفۡكِهِمۡ لَيَقُولُونَ

Is it not that they say, from their own invention

37:152 الصَّافَّاتِ As-Saaffaat
وَلَدَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَكَٰذِبُونَ

Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars

37:158 الصَّافَّاتِ As-Saaffaat
وَجَعَلُواْ بَيۡنَهُۥ وَبَيۡنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ نَسَبࣰ اۚ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمَتِ ٱلۡجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُونَ

And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)

37:172 الصَّافَّاتِ As-Saaffaat
إِنَّهُمۡ لَهُمُ ٱلۡمَنصُورُونَ

That they would certainly be assisted

فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ حِينࣲ‏

So turn thou away from them for a little while

38:4 صٓ Saad
وَعَجِبُوٓاْ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡۖ وَقَالَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا سَٰحِرࣱ كَذَّابٌ

So they wonder that a Warner has come to them from among themselves! and the Unbelievers say, "This is a sorcerer telling lies

38:6 صٓ Saad
وَٱنطَلَقَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ مِنۡهُمۡ أَنِ ٱمۡشُواْ وَٱصۡبِرُواْ عَلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِكُمۡۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَيۡءࣱ يُرَادُ

And the leader among them go away (impatiently), (saying), "Walk ye away, and remain constant to your gods! For this is truly a thing designed (against you)

38:10 صٓ Saad
أَمۡ لَهُم مُّلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَاۖ فَلۡيَرۡتَقُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَسۡبَٰبِ

Or have they the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all between? If so, let them mount up with the ropes and means (to reach that end)

38:17 صٓ Saad
ٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَٱذۡكُرۡ عَبۡدَنَا دَاوُۥدَ ذَا ٱلۡأَيۡدِۖ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ

Have patience at what they say, and remember our servant David, the man of strength: for he ever turned (to Allah)

38:20 صٓ Saad
وَشَدَدۡنَا مُلۡكَهُۥ وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَفَصۡلَ ٱلۡخِطَابِ

We strengthened his kingdom, and gave him wisdom and sound judgment in speech and decision

38:22 صٓ Saad
إِذۡ دَخَلُواْ عَلَىٰ دَاوُۥدَ فَفَزِعَ مِنۡهُمۡۖ قَالُواْ لَا تَخَفۡۖ خَصۡمَانِ بَغَىٰ بَعۡضُنَا عَلَىٰ بَعۡضࣲ فَٱحۡكُم بَيۡنَنَا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا تُشۡطِطۡ وَٱهۡدِنَآ إِلَىٰ سَوَآءِ ٱلصِّرَٰطِ

When they entered the presence of David, and he was terrified of them, they said: "Fear not: we are two disputants, one of whom has wronged the other: Decide now between us with truth, and treat us not with injustice, but guide us to the even Path

38:23 صٓ Saad
إِنَّ هَٰذَآ أَخِي لَهُۥ تِسۡعࣱ وَتِسۡعُونَ نَعۡجَةࣰ وَلِيَ نَعۡجَةࣱ وَٰحِدَةࣱ فَقَالَ أَكۡفِلۡنِيهَا وَعَزَّنِي فِي ٱلۡخِطَابِ

This man is my brother: He has nine and ninety ewes, and I have (but) one: Yet he says, 'commit her to my care,' and is (moreover) harsh to me in speech

38:24 صٓ Saad
قَالَ لَقَدۡ ظَلَمَكَ بِسُؤَالِ نَعۡجَتِكَ إِلَىٰ نِعَاجِهِۦۖ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرࣰ ا مِّنَ ٱلۡخُلَطَآءِ لَيَبۡغِي بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٍ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَقَلِيلࣱ مَّا هُمۡۗ وَظَنَّ دَاوُۥدُ أَنَّمَا فَتَنَّٰهُ فَٱسۡتَغۡفَرَ رَبَّهُۥ وَخَرَّۤ رَاكِعࣰ اۤ وَأَنَابَ۩

(David) said: "He has undoubtedly wronged thee in demanding thy (single) ewe to be added to his (flock of) ewes: truly many are the partners (in business) who wrong each other: Not so do those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and how few are they?"... and David gathered that We had tried him: he asked forgiveness of his Lord, fell down, bowing (in prostration), and turned (to Allah in repentance)

38:27 صٓ Saad
وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا بَٰطِلࣰ اۚ ذَٰلِكَ ظَنُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْۚ فَوَيۡلࣱ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

Not without purpose did We create heaven and earth and all between! that were the thought of Unbelievers! but woe to the Unbelievers because of the Fire (of Hell)

38:29 صٓ Saad
كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَيۡكَ مُبَٰرَكࣱ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوٓاْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ

(Here is) a Book which We have sent down unto thee, full of blessings, that they may mediate on its Signs, and that men of understanding may receive admonition

38:30 صٓ Saad
وَوَهَبۡنَا لِدَاوُۥدَ سُلَيۡمَٰنَۚ نِعۡمَ ٱلۡعَبۡدُ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ

To David We gave Solomon (for a son),- How excellent in Our service! Ever did he turn (to Us)

38:44 صٓ Saad
وَخُذۡ بِيَدِكَ ضِغۡثࣰ ا فَٱضۡرِب بِّهِۦ وَلَا تَحۡنَثۡۗ إِنَّا وَجَدۡنَٰهُ صَابِرࣰ اۚ نِّعۡمَ ٱلۡعَبۡدُ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابࣱ‏

And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)

38:46 صٓ Saad
إِنَّآ أَخۡلَصۡنَٰهُم بِخَالِصَةࣲ ذِكۡرَى ٱلدَّارِ

Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter

38:47 صٓ Saad
وَإِنَّهُمۡ عِندَنَا لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُصۡطَفَيۡنَ ٱلۡأَخۡيَارِ

They were, in Our sight, truly, of the company of the Elect and the Good

38:56 صٓ Saad
جَهَنَّمَ يَصۡلَوۡنَهَا فَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمِهَادُ

Hell!- they will burn therein, - an evil bed (indeed, to lie on)

38:59 صٓ Saad
هَٰذَا فَوۡجࣱ مُّقۡتَحِمࣱ مَّعَكُمۡ لَا مَرۡحَبَۢا بِهِمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ صَالُواْ ٱلنَّارِ

Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire

38:63 صٓ Saad
أَتَّخَذۡنَٰهُمۡ سِخۡرِيًّا أَمۡ زَاغَتۡ عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرُ

Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them

38:66 صٓ Saad
رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡغَفَّٰرُ

The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again

أَنتُمۡ عَنۡهُ مُعۡرِضُونَ

From which ye do turn away
