يَعۡلَمُ مَا بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُمۡۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرۡجَعُ ٱلۡأُمُورُ
He knows what is before them and what is behind them: and to Allah go back all questions (for decision)

الله سبحانه وتعالى يختار من الملائكة رسلا إلى أنبيائه، ويختار من الناس رسلا لتبليغ رسالاته إلى الخلق، إن الله سميع لأقوال عباده، بصير بجميع الأشياء، وبمن يختاره للرسالة مِن خلقه. وهو سبحانه يعلم ما بين أيدي ملائكته ورسله من قبل أن يخلقهم، ويعلم ما هو كائن بعد فنائهم. وإلى الله وحده ترجع الأمور.

تفسير الايتين 75 و76 :ـلما بين تعالى كماله وضعف الأصنام، وأنه المعبود حقا، بين حالة الرسل، وتميزهم عن الخلق بما تميزوا به من الفضائل فقال: { اللَّهُ يَصْطَفِي مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ رُسُلًا وَمِنَ النَّاسِ } أي: يختار ويجتبي من الملائكة رسلا، ومن الناس رسلا، يكونون أزكى ذلك النوع، وأجمعه لصفات المجد، وأحقه بالاصطفاء، فالرسل لا يكونون إلا صفوة الخلق على الإطلاق، والذي اختارهم واصطفاهم ليس جاهلا بحقائق الأشياء، أو يعلم شيئا دون شيء، وإنما المصطفى لهم، السميع، البصير، الذي قد أحاط علمه وسمعه وبصره بجميع الأشياء، فاختياره إياهم، عن علم منه، أنهم أهل لذلك، وأن الوحي يصلح فيهم كما قال تعالى: { اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ حَيْثُ يَجْعَلُ رِسَالَتَهُ } { وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ } أي: هو يرسل الرسل، يدعون الناس إلى الله، فمنهم المجيب، ومنهم الراد لدعوتهم، ومنهم العامل، ومنهم الناكل، فهذا وظيفة الرسل، وأما الجزاء على تلك الأعمال، فمصيرها إلى الله، فلا تعدم منه فضلا أو عدلا.

وقوله " يعلم ما بين أيديهم وما خلفهم وإلى الله ترجع الأمور " أي يعلم ما يفعل برسله فيما أرسلهم به فلا يخفى عليه شيء من أمورهم كما قال " عالم الغيب فلا يظهر على غيبه أحدا" - إلى قوله - وأحصى كل شيء عددا " فهو سبحانه رقيب عليهم شهيد على ما يقال لهم حافظ لهم ناصر لجنابهم " يا أيها الرسول بلغ ما أنزل إليك من ربك وإن تفعل فما بلغت رسالته والله يعصمك من الناس " الآية.

Allah chooses Messengers from the Angels and Messengers from Mankind
Allah tells us that He chooses Messengers from His angels as He wills by His law and decree, and He chooses Messengers from mankind to convey His Message.
إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ
(Verily, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Seer.) means, He hears all that His servants say, and He sees them and knows who among them is deserving of that, as He says:
اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ حَيْثُ يَجْعَلُ رِسَالَتَهُ
(Allah knows best with whom to place His Message) 6:124
يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الاٍّمُورُ
(He knows what is before them, and what is behind them. And to Allah return all matters.) He knows what will happen to His Messengers and the Message He sent them with, for none of their affairs are hidden from Him. He says:
عَـلِمُ الْغَيْبِ فَلاَ يُظْهِرُ عَلَى غَيْبِهِ أَحَداً
("The All-Knower of the Ghayb (Unseen), and He reveals to none His Ghayb.")72:26 until His saying;
وَأَحْصَى كُلَّ شَىْءٍ عَدَداً
(and He keeps count of all things.) 72:28 So He, may He be glorified, is guarding them, and is Witness to what is said about them. He is protecting them and supporting them.
يَـأَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ وَاللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ
(O Messenger! Proclaim which has been sent down to you from your Lord. And if you do not, then you have not conveyed His Message. Allah will protect you from mankind) 5:67.

He knows that which is before them and that which is behind them in other words what they have offered in the way of deeds and what they have left behind and what they have done and what they will do next; and to God all matters are returned.

مَا قَدَرُوا اللَّـهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ (They did not recognize Allah in His true esteem - 22:74). It means that these people are so foolish and ungrateful that they did not recognize the power of Allah Ta’ ala and place their helpless idols at the same level with Him.
