بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
-
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ
(Allah) Most Gracious The Beneficent Ar-Rahman
-
عَلَّمَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ
It is He Who has taught the Qur'an Hath made known the Qur'an He has taught the Qur'an
-
خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
He has created man He hath created man He created man
-
عَلَّمَهُ ٱلۡبَيَانَ
He has taught him speech (and intelligence) He hath taught him utterance He taught him Al-Bayan
-
ٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ بِحُسۡبَانࣲ
The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed The sun and the moon are made punctual The sun and the moon (run) on fixed courses
-
وَٱلنَّجۡمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسۡجُدَانِ
And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration The stars and the trees prostrate And the Najm and the trees prostrating
-
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ
And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice) And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the balance
-
أَلَّا تَطۡغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡمِيزَانِ
In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance That ye exceed not the measure In order that you may not transgress the balance
-
وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلۡوَزۡنَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ وَلَا تُخۡسِرُواْ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ
So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient
-
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلۡأَنَامِ
It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures And the earth He has put down (laid) for Al-An'am
-
فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةࣱ وَٱلنَّخۡلُ ذَاتُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَامِ
Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates) Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees Therein are fruits, date palms producing Akmam
-
وَٱلۡحَبُّ ذُو ٱلۡعَصۡفِ وَٱلرَّيۡحَانُ
Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants Husked grain and scented herb And also corn, with (its) `Asf, and Rayhan
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَٰلࣲ كَٱلۡفَخَّارِ
He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery He created man of clay like the potter's He created man from sounding clay like the clay of pottery
-
وَخَلَقَ ٱلۡجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجࣲ مِّن نَّارࣲ
And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire And the Jinn He created from a smokeless flame of fire
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
رَبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقَيۡنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلۡمَغۡرِبَيۡنِ
(He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests The Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
مَرَجَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ يَلۡتَقِيَانِ
He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together He hath loosed the two seas. They meet He has Maraja the two seas meeting together
-
بَيۡنَهُمَا بَرۡزَخࣱ لَّا يَبۡغِيَانِ
Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other) Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهُمَا ٱللُّؤۡلُؤُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ
Out of them come Pearls and Coral There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone Out of them both come out pearls and Al-Marjan
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
وَلَهُ ٱلۡجَوَارِ ٱلۡمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ كَٱلۡأَعۡلَٰمِ
And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners And His are Al-Jawar Al-Munsha'at, in the seas like A`lam
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
كُلُّ مَنۡ عَلَيۡهَا فَانࣲ
All that is on earth will perish Everyone that is thereon will pass away Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish
-
وَيَبۡقَىٰ وَجۡهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ
But will abide (for ever) the Face of thy Lord,- full of Majesty, Bounty and Honour There remaineth but the Countenance of thy Lord of Might and Glory And the Face of your Lord Dhul-Jalal wal-Ikram will remain forever
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
يَسۡـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ كُلَّ يَوۡمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأۡنࣲ
Of Him seeks (its need) every creature in the heavens and on earth: every day in (new) Splendour doth He (shine) All that are in the heavens and the earth entreat Him. Every day He exerciseth (universal) power Whosoever is in the heavens and on the earth begs of Him. Every day He is (engaged) in some affair
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
سَنَفۡرُغُ لَكُمۡ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ
Soon shall We settle your affairs, O both ye worlds We shall dispose of you, O ye two dependents (man and jinn) We shall attend to you, O Thaqalan
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
يَٰمَعۡشَرَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ أَن تَنفُذُواْ مِنۡ أَقۡطَارِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنفُذُواْۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلۡطَٰنࣲ
O ye assembly of Jinns and men! If it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass O company of jinn and men, if ye have power to penetrate (all) regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate (them)! Ye will never penetrate them save with (Our) sanction O assembly of Jinn and men! If you are able to pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, then pass beyond (them)! But you will never be able to pass them, except with authority (from Allah)
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
يُرۡسَلُ عَلَيۡكُمَا شُوَاظࣱ مِّن نَّارࣲ وَنُحَاسࣱ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ
On you will be sent (O ye evil ones twain!) a flame of fire (to burn) and a smoke (to choke): no defence will ye have There will be sent, against you both, heat of fire and flash of brass, and ye will not escape There will be sent against you both, Shuwaz of fire and Nuhas, and you will not be able to defend yourselves
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتۡ وَرۡدَةࣰ كَٱلدِّهَانِ
When the sky is rent asunder, and it becomes red like ointment And when the heaven splitteth asunder and becometh rosy like red hide Then when the heaven is rent asunder, and it becomes Wardah like Dihan
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
فَيَوۡمَئِذࣲ لَّا يُسۡـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسࣱ وَلَا جَآنࣱّ
On that Day no question will be asked of man or Jinn as to his sin On that day neither man nor jinni will be questioned of his sin So, on that Day he will not be questioned about his sin, (neither) human nor Jinn
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
يُعۡرَفُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ بِسِيمَٰهُمۡ فَيُؤۡخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِي وَٱلۡأَقۡدَامِ
(For) the sinners will be known by their marks: and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet The guilty will be known by their marks, and will be taken by the forelocks and the feet The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by their foreheads and feet
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ
This is the Hell which the Sinners deny This is hell which the guilty deny This is the Hell which the criminals denied
-
يَطُوفُونَ بَيۡنَهَا وَبَيۡنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانࣲ
In its midst and in the midst of boiling hot water will they wander round They go circling round between it and fierce, boiling water They will go between it and Hamim An
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
وَلِمَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ
But for such as fear the time when they will stand before (the Judgment Seat of) their Lord, there will be two Gardens But for him who feareth the standing before his Lord there are two gardens But for him who fears the standing before his Lord, there will be two Gardens
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
ذَوَاتَآ أَفۡنَانࣲ
Containing all kinds (of trees and delights) Of spreading branches With Afnan
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
فِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ تَجۡرِيَانِ
In them (each) will be two Springs flowing (free) Wherein are two fountains flowing In them (both) will be two springs flowing (free)
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَٰكِهَةࣲ زَوۡجَانِ
In them will be Fruits of every kind, two and two Wherein is every kind of fruit in pairs In them (both) will be every kind of fruit in pairs
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشِۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنۡ إِسۡتَبۡرَقࣲۚ وَجَنَى ٱلۡجَنَّتَيۡنِ دَانࣲ
They will recline on Carpets, whose inner linings will be of rich brocade: the Fruit of the Gardens will be near (and easy of reach) Reclining upon couches lined with silk brocade, the fruit of both the gardens near to hand Reclining upon the couches lined with Istabraq, and the fruits of the two Gardens will be near at hand
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
فِيهِنَّ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرۡفِ لَمۡ يَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ إِنسࣱ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَآنࣱّ
In them will be (Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched Therein are those of modest gaze, whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them Wherein both will be Qasirat At-Tarf, whom never deflowered a human before nor Jinn
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلۡيَاقُوتُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ
Like unto Rubies and coral (In beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone They are like Yaqut and Marjan
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
هَلۡ جَزَآءُ ٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنُ
Is there any Reward for Good - other than Good Is the reward of goodness aught save goodness Is there any reward for good other than good
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ
And besides these two, there are two other Gardens And beside them are two other gardens And below these two, there are two other Gardens
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
مُدۡهَآمَّتَانِ
Dark-green in colour (from plentiful watering) Dark green with foliage Mudhammatan
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
فِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ
In them (each) will be two Springs pouring forth water in continuous abundance Wherein are two abundant springs In them (both) will be two springs Naddakhatan
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
فِيهِمَا فَٰكِهَةࣱ وَنَخۡلࣱ وَرُمَّانࣱ
In them will be Fruits, and dates and pomegranates Wherein is fruit, the date-palm and pomegranate In them (both) will be fruits, and date palms and pomegranates
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
فِيهِنَّ خَيۡرَٰتٌ حِسَانࣱ
In them will be fair (Companions), good, beautiful Wherein (are found) the good and beautiful Therein (Gardens) will be Khayrat Hisan
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
حُورࣱ مَّقۡصُورَٰتࣱ فِي ٱلۡخِيَامِ
Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions Fair ones, close-guarded in pavilions Hur (beautiful, fair females) guarded in pavilions
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
لَمۡ يَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ إِنسࣱ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَآنࣱّ
Whom no man or Jinn before them has touched Whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them Whom never deflowered a human before nor Jinn
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفۡرَفٍ خُضۡرࣲ وَعَبۡقَرِيٍّ حِسَانࣲ
Reclining on green Cushions and rich Carpets of beauty Reclining on green cushions and fair carpets Reclining on green Rafraf and rich beautiful `Abqariy
-
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny
-
تَبَٰرَكَ ٱسۡمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ
Blessed be the name of thy Lord, full of Majesty, Bounty and Honour Blessed be the name of thy Lord, Mighty and glorious Blessed be the Name of your Lord, Dhil-Jalali wal-Ikram
