38:29 Saad (The letter Saad)

{ كِتَابٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَارَكٌ } فيه خير كثير، وعلم غزير، فيه كل هدى من ضلالة، وشفاء من داء، ونور يستضاء به في الظلمات، وكل حكم يحتاج إليه المكلفون، وفيه من الأدلة القطعية على كل مطلوب، ما كان به أجل كتاب طرق العالم منذ أنشأه اللّه.{ لِيَدَّبَّرُوا آيَاتِهِ } أي: هذه الحكمة من إنزاله، ليتدبر الناس آياته، فيستخرجوا علمها ويتأملوا أسرارها وحكمها، فإنه بالتدبر فيه والتأمل لمعانيه، وإعادة الفكر فيها مرة بعد مرة، تدرك بركته وخيره، وهذا يدل على الحث على تدبر القرآن، وأنه من أفضل الأعمال، وأن القراءة المشتملة على التدبر أفضل من سرعة التلاوة التي لا يحصل بها هذا المقصود.{ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ } أي: أولو العقول الصحيحة، يتذكرون بتدبرهم لها كل علم ومطلوب، فدل هذا على أنه بحسب لب الإنسان وعقله يحصل له التذكر والانتفاع بهذا الكتاب.

قال تعالى "كتاب أنزلناه إليك مبارك ليدبروا آياته وليتذكر أولو الألباب" أي ذوو العقول وهي الألباب جمع لب وهو العقل قال الحسن البصري والله ما تدبره بحفظ حروفه وإضاعة حدوده حتى إن أحدهم ليقول قرأت القرآن كله ما يرى له القرآن فى خلق ولا عمل رواه ابن أبي حاتم.

The Wisdom behind the Creation of This World

Allah tells us that He did not create the creatures in vain; He created them to worship Him Alone, then He will gather them on the Day of Gathering and will reward the obedient and punish the disbelievers. Allah says:

وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَآءَ وَالاٌّرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا بَـطِلاً ذَلِكَ ظَنُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ

(And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose! That is the consideration of those who disbelieve!) meaning, those who do not think that the resurrection and the place of return will occur, but they think that there is nothing after this world.

فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنَ النَّارِ

(Then woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire!) means, woe to them on the Day when they will be resurrected, from the Fire that is prepared for them. Then Allah explains that because of His justice and wisdom, He does not treat the believers and the disbelievers equally. Allah says:

أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ الصَّـلِحَـتِ كَالْمُفْسِدِينَ فِى الاٌّرْضِ أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الْمُتَّقِينَ كَالْفُجَّارِ

(Shall We treat those who believe and do righteous good deeds as those who do mischief on the earth Or shall We treat Those who have Taqwa as the evildoers) meaning, `We shall not do that.' They are not equal before Allah, and since this is the case, there must inevitably be another realm in which those who obey Allah will be rewarded and the wicked will be punished. This teaching indicates to those of a sound mind and upright nature that there must inevitably be a resurrection and recompense. We see evildoers and criminals are prospering and increasing in wealth, children and luxury, until they die in that state. We see oppressed believers dying of grief and distress, so by the wisdom of the All-Wise, All-Knowing, All-Just who does not do even a speck of dust's weight of injustice, there should be a time when the rights of the oppressed are restored with due justice. If this does not happen in this world, there must be another realm where recompense may be made and consolation may be found. The Qur'an teaches sound aims based on a rational way of thinking, so Allah says:

كِتَـبٌ أَنزَلْنَـهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَـرَكٌ لِّيَدَّبَّرُواْ ءَايَـتِهِ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُوْلُو الاٌّلْبَـبِ

((This is) a Book which We have sent down to you, full of blessings, that they may ponder over its Ayat, and that men of understanding may remember.) meaning, those who are possessed of wisdom and reason.

A Book kitābun the predicate of a missing subject namely hādhā ‘this is’ that We have revealed to you full of blessing that they may contemplate yaddabbarū is actually yatadabbarū but the tā’ has been assimilated with the dāl its signs that they may reflect upon its meanings and become believers and that they may remember that they may be admonished — those people of pith those possessors of intellect.

In verse 28, it was said: أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ كَالْمُفْسِدِينَ فِي الْأَرْ‌ضِ أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الْمُتَّقِينَ كَالْفُجَّارِ‌ (Shall We make those who believe and do righteous deeds equal to those who commit mischief on the earth? Or shall We make the God-fearing equal to the sinners?) - that is, this can never be. In fact, the end of both will be totally different. Right from here, we learn that this difference between a believer and disbeliever is there in terms of the injunctions of the Hereafter. While living in the present world, it is quite possible that a disbeliever has a lot more comforts than a believer. Likewise, it cannot be deduced thereby that the material rights of the disbeliever cannot be equal to the rights of the believer, instead, the truth of the matter is that a disbeliever could be allowed human rights equal to a believer. Accordingly, non-Muslim minorities who live in an Islamic state under mutual pledges shall be given all human rights that will be but equal to those of Muslim.
