بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
-
وَيۡلࣱ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةࣲ لُّمَزَةٍ
Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter Woe unto every slandering traducer Woe to every Humazah Lumazah
-
ٱلَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالࣰ ا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ
Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it Who has gathered wealth and counted it
-
يَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ
Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever
-
كَلَّاۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِي ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ
By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One But no! Verily, he will be thrown into Al-Hutamah
-
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحُطَمَةُ
And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is And what will make you know what Al-Hutamah is
-
نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ
(It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze) (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled The fire of Allah, Al-Muqadah
-
ٱلَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ
The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men) Which leaps up over the hearts
-
إِنَّهَا عَلَيۡهِم مُّؤۡصَدَةࣱ
It shall be made into a vault over them Lo! it is closed in on them Verily, it shall Mu'sadah upon them
-
فِي عَمَدࣲ مُّمَدَّدَةِۭ
In columns outstretched In outstretched columns In pillars stretched forth
